Today is 15th August here and part of my job and being the paymaster in our office I could see the smiling faces of the whole staff. It's a very happy atmosphere now here in our office. How about you.. does salary day make a difference in the atmosphere of your home or office? Or you are rather sad because all the salary will just pass your hand to pay the debts you incurred. Or you are so happy because your family will surely go out for dinner tonight? Or no effect at all because you have a business and every day is a reaping day for you? What effect has salary day to you! Kindly share!

O yeah, sounds good today for you.
However, mine is still on the 20th, so still waiting a couple of days to be happy, but already excited to know how much I could have this month.
Yeah, all employees are in smiling face during payday and you can observe that after work they will go to malls to look for some stuffs to buy and others will each to their favorite restaurants.
After all the hard works for a couple of days, we need to be happy and have to take few bucks from our salary to celebrate or eat outside together with our friends.

So you have a different salary date! Indeed, salary day turns everyone excited and happy. Right you are with your observation! Yes the malls and restaurant out there will be having more people than the usual. I think it's one form of giving ourself a reward after half month of working. So Cheers!

Oh what a good timing of birthday your father has! And what a thoughtful daughter you are. I wish I can go to celebrate with you. I believe your carbonara tastes great and feels like I wanna eat carbonara tonight. Now I know what I'm gonna eat for dinner. Thank you for the tip. And happy, happy birthday to your Dad! Cheers!

Getting paid for all hard efforts gives a delightful feeling indeed. Of course we deserve it for after all we work hard to pay all the expenses. It's also good to see that you are acquiring your necessities from your own hard-earned money. Keep on working hard my dear! And keep posting as well. Hope to see more of you around!

Yup, yup. Speaking of payday, it's a great day for my wife to reap, coz in my country a man will be considered as a responsible person to give out most of his salary to his wife, so-called money holder. Perhaps that's how a family sticks together, lol. She's happy, I'm happy. This is what it is all about. So next time you are on a payday celebration, think about men on the other side of the globe suffering.

Well my husband do entrust his salary to me as well and truly I'm happier during payday because I get double compensation (one from my husband and one from my own job) Ha!ha!ha! Well, on the other side of it you are very right there are other poor people suffering. They hunger and have no means to survive except outside help. Indeed we have so much to thank for because at least we are earning and we don't depend on others. Cheers!

I do not have a salary yet so i do not share the same happiness that others feel in this day..hehehe but before i am of course very happy too when it comes to pay day..i am thinking already of things to buy out of my own salary..hahaha during my first ever salary in my work i have bought something for the family i think it was pizza that i bought as a "blow out" and i have bought a new phone then and some new clothes..weeee..but ll those were not that expensive i felt very "kuripot" that time maybe because it is my own money i am spending..

Ha!ha!ha! Well it's a good attitude. You are spending your money wisely. It's hard to be a one day millionaire after all. I can imagine myself when I also got my first salary, I was also excited and 'kuripot'like you. But I appreciate the fact that you bought something for your family and not for yourself only. It's really a good feeling to receive salary friend. I hope you get your salary soon Kaezy! Have a good day!

Just like my Mom, you also are a Pensioner! It's a good feeling that after retiring, you still receive pension to meet your need! My Mom just like you is very thankful that she has pension because without that she has no other means of paying her bill unlike you who have another business. Have a nice day!

I think salary days are always happy days even if sometimes you
know that the money would just pass through your hands. Its
always nice to know that you have something on hand to pay for your
needs and for the needs of your family. We all love paydays!
When it is payday here, people line in front of the ATM and
everyone is smiling and lively.
Have a nice day!

Lively yes! People suddenly becomes alive and kicking! And you are right it's always nice to have money to spend for our needs and to pay the obligations we had. ATM booths are the most popular place today. Cheers!

I am currently unemployed for the last two months. But when I was working, I did not get excited when pay day came. I too, was the payroll administrator at one time. Most of my paycheck was gone by time I got home, because all the bills had to get paid, food had to be bought, and that left me with very little. Of course I was grateful for the paycheck, because without it I would not have been able to do the things I needed to do.
Now, I get a very small unemployment check, and there is never any extra money, I will be so glad when I find another job.

I pray you will be able to get job soon. So you were also in charge of the payroll then and you understand what I mean. Even with a little amount left on us after the payday at least we should be thankful that we have paid all the our dues. So I hope you really get a new job as soon as possible. Have a nice day!

It's actually a combination of everything that you said. But most of the time I am happy because I would be looking forward to going out again. Previously in Makati we didn't have 15th as payday. It was every 5th and 20th of the month. Then when I moved to another company in the same area, we had it every 10th and 25th. Now here in Malaysia, I feel a bit weird because the salary is given once a month only.
@salonga (27775)

So you are now working in Malaysia. Salary every once a month is quite a long time to wait. They have a different style out there ha! But at least it's whole amount and it's of course bigger. What is you job there my dear? I hope you are doing fine there! Have a nice day!

Yeah your right madam. Right now I'm starting to transfer funds from my bank account to those I owe and by tomorrow I'm a debt free person because i can pay all my debts today. Plus a bonus to myself, I will have a date with my mom at my dream resto here in baguio city. But not all the employees are happy now just like me because I know that most of them have empty pockets when going home tonight... Sad to say but that's the reality.
Hope every employee can be just like me...
Go Team Philippines...

So indeed your post about being debt free is a happy one. You are one of those in a happy mood today. And your date with your Mom at your dream resto is an added bonus indeed. Being with your loved ones on date is something we really have to do to have some bonding and fellowship. But as you said some will still go home empty pocket but still they have to be happy because at least they have job and they were able to pay whatever obligations they have. So still have reason to cheer!

Yeah, I am happier during salary day than a normal day in the office. I am anticipating every salary for I am excited to budget the active income and want to know if there is an extra for us to have dinner outside, or watch a movie, or buy a new clothes, or other stuffs.
But salonga just hope that you are doing a great job. Because here in my office, we are experiencing many salary complaints. The accounting seems to always be doing many errors in the computation. We don't know why even though they are using a system. And to our part, it is so annoying and I do get mad everytime they make errors.
Cheers up guys for our salary day.

Hi aRISdGrEat! I thought from your Aviatar that you were a Korean!
Well, that is wanting I am very careful about. I don't want anyone here in the office complaining about errors in the computation of their salary. If ever there is error, it should be to their advantage.(ha!ha!ha!) I hope my Boss can't read this post! Thank you for sharing dear!

Well, considering the payments awaiting me that day. It doesn't really make my day special, plus the fact that we teachers don't get compensated competitively, I don't really think the pay day matters to my everyday anymore. Maybe because, I've accepted the fact that I'm no longer working for the pay but for the results of my deeds, off and on school walls.

Oh it is so sad to hear that!I pray you teachers get higher pay because after all you are heroes in your own right. How can all the professional reach their status if not for the good teachers we have around. But at least you still have something to thank for jaypee. So Cheers!

LOL I can always tell when it is my hubbys pay day because I always see the wives at the cash machines or smiling and happy at school discussing their next shopping trips!
It used to be that payday could never come around soon enough for us, and it would be a great relief to have it because we would have already spent half of it before we had it. Now though it is more happier because we are in control of our debts, have learnt how to handle money more effectively and so can enjoy it for a bit longer!

Hi dear! What a nice Aviatar you have, I like it!
Sometimes we just have to learn how to handle our money just like what you shared. We tend to spend for many non-essentials and then complain that we don't have money anymore. We just have to learn by our budge and be contented. I believe that is the key to happiness! God bless!

payday is just the day of collectors for me. there is the electricity bill, landlady, my friend of five-six, allowance of the kids, etc. payday is just makes me feel unhappy for the salary will just pass my hands through my wife's hands and goes to everyone else's hands. my salary is too far from what we need for our daily needs. and if i don't have this second job of mine that pays me for our daily consumption, my family will surely get hungry. there is nothing to smile for me on paydays, seems nothing special. My friend remember that it is better to have some money to pay for all your needs than having none. You are far better than the jobless people around just depending on other people. You are a productive person because you don't just sit around, you are doing something to earn a living. That is something to thank about my dear. Imagine if you don't have a job, how can you pay all the bills you enumerated. So be happy and keep smiling!

Salary day is celebration day for people who have work indeed. Despite the inflation rates and the prices going high and our money's capacity to buy is lessened we still have to feel great if we have salary every pay day. Thank you amit!
