What was your first concert and where was it?

My first concert was Blues Traveler. I think I was a sophomore in high school and they played the Alfond Arena on the University of Maine campus. The opening band was a group called Agents of Good Roots. The show was good but a bit disappointing at the same time. Though at the time they were known for their hits "Run-Around" and "Hook", I don't remember them playing more than one song I recognized. I remember them being criticized for it in the news the next day. It was an enjoyable show and a good first concert for a now music freak none the less.

My first concert was a Garth Brooks concert that my aunt, uncle, and cousin took me to for my birthday when I was younger, because I have always loved Garth Brooks and he has always and will always be my favorite country singer, and though we ended up sitting pretty far back,it was still an awesome experience and one I will never forget, they also bought me a shirt from the concert, which I still have and still wear even though it has faded over the decade or so I have had it,but I will never get rid of it.

I've never seen Garth live but I've heard a lot of good things. Whenever he has those shows on tv it always looks to be an exciting and energetic show. Seeing all those people, like a full Central Park, makes it that much more intense. I can't imagine attending a show like that. I would like to see Garth live one of these days.

Mine was to see Take That in 1995. It was not long after Robbie Williams left the group and it was in Manchester. I live more near to Newcastle but they did not have an arena at that time. I was in Take That fanclubn though and they put a bus on for the members to go to either Manchester or London (I think). I went with my Mam.

I am showing my age here but the first ever concert I went to was to see Buck's Fizz you probably haven't heard of them they originated in the UK and one the Eurovision Song Contest in the 80s with Making Your Mind Up. I went with my friend, we were 17 at the time when they came into town. It was fantastic and we had a great night, we talked about it for weeks afterwards! The concerted was located in London.

My first was The Doors, the night Jim Morrison was arrested for indecent exposure. If the police hadn't interrupted the performance, I think the audience would have forced them to remain onstage all night. It was absolutely mesmerizing! The only ones that have come close were The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Buffett, although they're certainly very different. Nothing will ever beat live!

My first concert was Rick Springfield at Reunion Arena in Dallas. Corey Hart opened for him. I was seven and wasn't quite sure what to think of the older girls around me. I thought I was crazy about him but it was nothing compared to the girl across the aisle from me. I don't think she ever stopped screaming. I think it was the first time I really saw how fanatic some people can be. You see it on tv or something but it's nothing like seeing it in person. But I was hooked and have been going to concerts ever since.

I saw The Dave Clark Five, and that was in the Era of the Beatles. I also did see the Beatles in Forest Park Stadium where they have tennis matches in NY. I know, I know I am old but in numbers only.
