Alam clock goes off...you look at the clock and think....5 more minutes.SNOOZE. My husband has to leave for work one hour before he is supposed to be there. But every morninghe hits than snooze button at least 5 times. When he does fially get up he has to rush to get out the door.
I was just wondering how many of us hit that snooze button and how many times.Or are you the type that gets up as soon as the alarm goes off?Let me know howmany of you jump up and how many snooze. We'll make a poll out of it.

Ah, snooze button! One of the things in the world i cant live without hahahha.....
So yes, i does that everytime. My snooze last for 9minutes, and i can hit the button like 5times or even more! I usually set the alarm at 4.55, and let the snooze button take control until 6ish (my preferred waking time) ;)
When i was sharing dorm room with my cousin, a funny thing occurred. It seems like when she's the one starting the alarm, i will be the one who woke up and then wake her up vice versa ;)
And with our "the two-hours-snooze policy" we really turn the whole dorm crazy with the sound of the alarm hehehhe.....
My boyfriend hates it that i keep on hitting snooze button and not really woke up.
But how about yourself, jessbowers? Do you hit the snooze button too?

Ah! so it's the husband power that disallowed you to hit the snooze button! ;)
But yeah, people can hit you back while snooze button cant. That's why i wake up faster when i ask someone to woke me up than with alarm (no matter how distracting/annoying the alarm sounds)
Thanks for the topic jessbowers!!
Btw, you got me intrigued, what kind of trouble happen to you at school because of hitting the snooze button?

I do not hit the snooze button.I am not allowed. If I did hit the snooze button I would probably get hit back. My husband wakes me up every morning sence he has to leave around the same time I need to be up.I did however hit the snooze button when I was in school.Got into a bit of trouble but it all worked out. Thanks for your response.

I have a bad habit of pressing the snooze as many times as I can before I would be late... So I put the alarm about 30 minutes before I really have to wake up. But there really is a reason for that. I can press snooze 6 times in 30 minutes so I wake up 6 times. It's a lot easier to jump off the bed when you have already woke up six times than if you wake for the first time...

I can relate with you our alarm always set 30 min before wake up time just to have an extra! I'm keen to wake up on the first alarm and I will leave it besides my husband! My husband has this habbit pressing the snooze for 3 times before getting up in the bed, but thankfully I dont have to go back in the room to wake him up.

Most of the time I get up to turn the alarm off, but only because my alarm is across the room, and to turn it off I have to get up anyway. I figure why get up and walk all the way across the room to the alarm clock just to hit the snooze button, and then have to get up again not even 5 minutes later and do the same thing?

I think it is funny that you have to walk across the room because my husband tried that once. He was the one to get back in the bed and have to get up to hit snooze again and again.Thank you for your response.

When I was younger, I had my alarm clock right next to my bed, and every time I would set it to go off, I would end up hitting the snooze button. Was late for school one too many times and had to go to ISS for 3 days, that's when I moved it across the room, and have had no problems with being late.

If my husband has an early start (he is a rep so travels to near or faraway places)he sets his alarm for say 6am and I set mine for 6.20 as the number of times he has forgotten to hit the snooze button has caused some panic when he has a 2 hour drive ahead of him.
Myself...I hit the snooze once, my snooze is 9 minutes - (don't like the standard 5 minutes - I use my mobile as alarm, diary and phone)When my 9 minutes is up I get up and have a shower and that is me... occasionally it takes me a few hours to wake up properly and on these occasions lots of coffee is required.

It depends for me. On a normal day, the alarm goes off I'll just off it, lie around for 10mins to 20mins and get up automatically. On days where I have appointments or stuff i'll just get up immediately. I used to use snooze but i'll still lie around so I don't use it anymore.

me and my hubby do it every morning... it is always so hard for us to wake up to go to work every morning especially during winter... it is so cold in the morning and we just want to stay inside the quilt and keep warm for as long as we can... but we always manage to get up before we are late for work... we usually only take extra 5 minutes to get up after the alarm goes off... take care and have a nice day...

I use to hit the snooze button 5 times. So I wake up 5 times. It is because I only have 4 hours of sleep from Mondays to Fridays. But I don't snooze on Mondays because I was able to have enough sleep.

I used to never hit the snooze button. I am starting to do it more now. The most I will usually hit the snooze button is 3 times, unless I am extremely tired. I usually hit the snooze button only once or twice if that many times. When I used to go to school I would get up right away as soon as the alarm goes off. I would have time to get ready, I was never rushing out the door.
Most of the time I can't go back to sleep because my mind is wandering about the things that I have to do for that day. So I get up once that happens, it's almost like I can't turn my brain off.

My mind works before the rest of me so I like to lay in bed till my eyes at least open half way. Then my legs might work. Thanks for your response.

Well it really depends. When it is really important, like when my whole family have to go somewhere really far, I get up by the time my clock alarms. But if it is not important and I could be late, I hit like once, twice will be the maximum. I am easy to wake up and if I hit the snooze, I know I wont be able to sleep anymore, but my eyes just cant take it, it just doesnt want to wake up.

I actually never do this. I actually don't find a point since I wouldn't feel any better or less tired if I slept an extra couple of minutes. I normally set the alarm clock to just the right about of tiem to get up, then wake up once it goes off.
Usually when the alarm goes off, I'm brushing my teeth 5 - 10 seconds later.

I do not hit the snooze button too often because of the fact that my alarm is a stereo and it is very loud.

I hardly ever hit the snooze if anything I might hit it once. I normally wake up before it even goes off unless I had a rough or late night.
My huuby hits his alot some mornings and then runs around trying to get everything so that he can get to work on time. I think my way works better... lol

If your husband does it 5 times, double that in my case. That's why, I set the alarm an hour and a half earlier. Usually, I need to get up at 6am to prepare breakfast and have my son ready for school. But getting up in the morning is truly an extra challenge for me. That's why I have started setting up the alarm at 4:30am!
My husband complains about this because his sleep keeps being interrupted by the constant alarm. He begs me to try to minimize hitting the snooze.
Definitely, I'm a snooze person, through and through.

LOL. If it bothers him that much maybe you could convince him to get up and start breakfast for you. That way you wouldn't have to set the alarm so early. Thanks for your response.

We don't jump up when the alarm goes off, but we don't hit the snooze button either, we'll just lay there and let the music play. We have our alarm set to the radio instead of the buzzer, its too annoying. My husband will just lay there and snooze while the radio's playing, then he gets up right when its time for him to go. We just live 5 mins away from his work, so it don't take him long to get there, or get ready.

Heaps, of course it depends. I now set the alarm on my clock radio, I might hit snooze a couple of times (because house is cold), then the alarm on my mobile goes off 20 minutes or so later, and that alerts me that I have been snoozing 2 much and have to get up. My flats cold so I always want to stay in bed.
I have started taking an apple to my room at night so I can sit up in bed and eat this in my bed in the morning to help me wake up more to get out of bed. I read that apples are more helpful than coffee at waking you up.
