Do you think that China is cheating? Everything keeps saying that He Kexin is only 14 even though her passpost says she is 16 years old. If this was someone from USA it would be made into a big deal. They did win the gold after all in womens gymnastics. Should they be able to keep it? What do you think should happen?

I think it is very possible they are cheating. I believe that they want so much to show off to the world they will do so by any means.

I think the International Olympic Committee should demand to see actual birth certificates, rather than passports. Passports are much more easy to fake than birth certificates. I think that He Kexin is definitely not 16 by anyone's imagination, no matter what her passport says. I've never seen a 16 year old that was that small, even if they were Asian and into gymnastics. Could they have made it a little less obvious? I think that if they are found out to be lying, the gold medal should be taken away from them and given to the United States. I am not saying this out of patriotism, here, but really, in the spirit of the games. If the United States were accused of the same situation and found to be lying, I would say, give the medal to the Chinese.

i can't say for sure. but when the question is raised, there is something to it I believe. it can be the possible case. she no way looks 16, at least to me. I heard there are probes, but it has ended and where is the result?

I read how that one girl was said to be 13 months before the Olympics, before it suddenly changed when it came to time to qualify. A reporter tried to get her to slip up by asking how she celebrated her 15th birthday. Evidently she paused for a long time, and then said it was an ordinary day. She does look around ten years old, but if nothing can be proven, then I guess we have to let it go. But it really looks bad because she had been listed as 13 in a lot of other competitions before the Olympics.

If the Olympic federation thought she was only 14 they would do something about it. If our Olympic team thought she was only 14 they would contest it. I have not heard anyone contesting it. Time will tell. It might take getting out of China before someone contests it.

I believe that China is cheating. I think they should be stripped of the gold medals. What kind of example is the olympic commitee sending to all the other countries that if your the host country it's ok to have underage girls compete? You can tell just by looking at these girls that they are 13 or 14.
