I just learned that one of my friends do not have the stomach to eat vegetables. I remember when I was a little girl,my grandmother willnot let me leave the dining table until I finished my vegeatables... I dont remember exactly when I learned to love vegetables. All I know is,for now,I just love to munch asparagus, carrots, radish, celery, lettuce, broccoli and even our bitter gourd. I like squash with coconut milk, especially with crabs in it...LOL. I think there is no vegetable that I dont eat...

hi chingbeem, yes i love it. actually vegetables is my main food, as i don't eat meat, fish and egg. vegetable is (even not easily digest) good for our health. its fiber keep our stomach 'full' hence make the digestion staying active. i like carrot, celery, lettuce, spinach (!), papaya leaf, broccoli. bitter guard is one of my favorite vegetable.

hi again, thx for the BR price. i really appreciate it yes papaya leaves surely can be eaten. it's very healthy also. you should choose the young leaves. to make it easily chewed, you can first boil the leaves till it is tender. if you cannot stand the bitterness, you can mix it with lots of salt by squeezing it before boiling it.

I like vegetables especially the stem and leaves of a squash. It is my favorite vegetable. my mom used to feed me a mashed squash instead of potatoes. She used to tell me that it is good for the eyes.

Yes, I do love veggies - of all kinds. I think it's because as a child, I figured out that food is fuel for us. Even if I don't like something, I realize if it's good for me, if I want to have a balanced diet, I'll eat it. It's that simple. I've tried teaching that to my hubby (who has diabetes II and is supposed to be on only 1500 calories a day). I tell him that food is medicine for him, nothing more. But he doesn't buy it, and refuses to eat lots of things that are good for him.

I like eating vegetables, especially raw vegetables. However they don't always like me and I tend to have diarrhea issues. To solve this problem and make sure I get enough vegetables I started to cook them more although I don't like them as much that way.

When I was a kid, I didn't like to eat vegetables either, but I don't ever remember being made to eat them. Now, I don't mind them, I like most vegetables, they are good for you. Most kids these days don't eat vegetables, won't even try them..lol. I know my nephews won't they won't even touch them, theres probably alot of people that still don't.

Definitely! I am having spicy chicken fajitas with onions and red peppers and garlic and cilantro right now . I think some vegetables are an acquired taste, but the sooner you start eating them regularly, as well as spicing them up when fixing them or combining them with other foods, the easier they are to like. They are so good for you, recommended guidelines are to eat 5 or more a day. The serving sizes are smaller than you might think, so it's possible while you only think you're eating about 3 servings, you could very well be eating 6 or 7. We like asparagus too, and carrots, broccoli, corn, zucchini, onions, tomatoes.. mmm!

I love eating vegetables. I am not fond of meat even do sometimes i eat them. Vegetables are very healthy foods and very good for the mind and body. We are not rich and the only cheap foods to buy now days are vegetables in the market. It's very good to know that their prices doesn't skyrocketed too. Other's don't like vegetables and eating dishes with meat are their priority. That is not healthy lifestyle. My favorite vegetables are eggplant and potato.

I love vegetables especially asparagus, peas and corn. Luckily my daughter is following in my footsteps. My husband does not eat vegetables or fruit (another thing I love!!!), and neither do his children. They are missing out on a lot of flavor, as well as the nutrients... I just don't get how someone can go through life without eating veggies & fruit.

I can stomach vegetables but I would rather not. I like sweetcorn, brocolli and certain cabbages but that is about it. I could eat them as a child and was not bothered about eating them, but as soon as I was old enough to make my own choices then I never bothered with them much.

When I was a kid my mom always made me eat veggies so now it's a habit. I don't have any problems about eating veggies; in fact, I want to have a little vegetable on the side during every meal. I also like eating salads. When I go out and I'm on a budget I just order a salad. Not only is it healthy, it's also usually one of the cheapest items on the menu! Vegetables taste good as long as it's cooked and the right sauce or flavor is used.

I guess most kids do not like vegetables. I hated vegetables when young, but as I grew older, I learned to like them. I suppose some tastes are acquired. I used to hate bittergourds, brinjals, celery - now I just love eating them. It also depends on the way they are cooked. Now I take most of the vegetables I disliked in my younger days, except bamboo shoots and pumpkin. Bamboo shoots has a funny smell (I don't really know how to describe it), and pumpkin is too sweet!

yes i know bamboo shoots and you are right, they have a funny smell.they actually smell like they're not good anymore or about to rot already.,but i like them...we cook it sauteed with shrimps,my kids doenst like them though...thanks

Eating vegetables is a good habit to maintain the equilibrium of the body which is naturally present in our body from our birth. The necessary proteins and vitamins essential for human development and growth is present in mainly vegetables and fruits . This has made vegetables a necessity for smooth functioning of the body.
