Do you have trouble sleeping at night, I just can't get to sleep, find myself still awake at 3, 4 , 5am not tired. But then I drag all day. I don't know why I can't sleep and they have given me some pills to make me sleep, but they made me sleep all the time and I couldn't get anything done.
Do you have that problem sleeping at night, what do you do to go to sleep, do you take medicine to sleep. Any secrets that you know?

I am not the right person to give you advice as I am a poor sleeper too. But I wanted
to read what other people have said about it and since I am responding from my emails
I can't read the other responses till after I post a response.
I have never been a good sleeper since I was a very young child, that I can remember back
to. I have never slept the whole night except when I have been in the hospital for
surgeries or when I had my babies. Then the only reason I slept is because they gave
me medicine to sleep.
I don't want to be taking medicine all my life, to go to sleep so I try to find other
ways to help me. One of the things I do that helps sometimes, not always, is concentrate
on making myself relax. I start at my toes and work my way up to my head. I tell my
toes to relax and I wait for them to relax. I then tell my ankles to relax and then
my calves and so on. I usually don't make it to my head but sometimes it doesn't work
and I do it again and again and eventually I will fall asleep.
But then I don't stay asleep and wake up about every hour and take about 15 minutes to
fall back to sleep again. But boy, come morning I could sleep like a baby. I am so
tired I have a hard time getting out of bed. But I can't because I have to go to work.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Your friend Chris

If my arthritis is bothering me, one hour before bed, I take tylenol with codeine. Otherwise, I make sure I either work outdoors or work indoors enough to sleep well. During rough times of worries, I read a book to take my mind off my worries before bed or play a music or a meditation tape. I find I must be free from pain, need to sleep because I've worked hard enough to warrant it and free from worries to sleep well. If I have all three, then I'm fine. So I work to have all three. Also I try not to eat before I go to bed, which is hard becaue my husband always finds something like ice cream or chocolate to mess me up. So I tell him to quit showing me what he eats at 7PM. I hope this helps you, and I hope you've gotten some sleep.take care

HI bdugas,
I have no trouble sleeping really..I can just sleep right away..I take a nap every day like 1 hour and maybe working online whole day makes my body and eyes relax so easy!
When I can't sleep, I will prefer working online or watching videos!

Hi Bdugas, It could be worry over your daughter and now yourself that is causing you not to be able to sleep, I tend to read until my eyes are so tired that I can get off to sleep but other than that can't really advice what to do, I have heard lavendar helps promote relaxation and sleep so maybe get some essential oil and put near you. Ellie :D

i don't think taking sleeping pills is a good way to heal the sleeping trouble.
u may review all you've done the previous day while feeling hard to sleep,or u can also plan and schedule your next day in your mind.those above things will dispel your in-mind-worry which prevent u from sleeping.
if those above things have no efforts, u may get out from bed and do some simple sport such as situp or read some boring book.that may increase your sleepy sense.
