is swimming good for us????

I know how to swim and Ialso like this activity very much...... Ithink one should know how to swim because it increases your stamina also the height factor gers affcected and it also keeps us fit and fine...... mylotters what do you think one should know how to swin or not????If yes then can you give some reasons????

Aerobic exercise in general is good for your health, especially your cardiovascular system. It's important to enjoy the exercise you engage in so you will keep at it and not get bored and quit. It's good to know how to swim for enjoyment, exercise, and in case of some emergency like flood or falling from a boat or rescuing someone from drowning, etc..

I am with you it is a multipurpose thing......it makes you feel good also it increases your stamina!!!!

It is very important to know how to swim. If you are ever around a swimmning pool and someone pushes you in then you need to know how to swim to the side if you can't reach the bottom. Swimming is also very good exercise for you and you will feel great after you are done swimming.

I like to swim, but I also swim for medical reasons. Swimming takes the stress off the body so you can exercise usually without pain. The water is very therapeutic.

I think that it is important to know how to swim. One reason is the safety factor. If you ever find yourself in water, you know that you'll be fine. I've also heard somewhere that like one hour of swimming is equal to two hours of another type of exercise, so I guess it's good for your health, as well.
