On my way home tonight there was a man walking along the side of the rode dressed in dark clothing making it impossible to see him until you got right up on him. I had to swerve at the last minute to keep from hitting him because he was half in the road. Now here is my complaint. If you are going to walking around at night on a busy road be sensible enough to where bright colored clothing. The sad part is that it seems to be popular around where i live to go walking at night in dark clothing. Do people not realize that it makes them hard to see?

But Pheonix, its possible people like this don't know what common sense is, or perhaps they have some malfunction preventing the acquisition of said sense...
Anyways, you're quite right about this, but I'd extend this question and rant to many situations in public. Seems like plenty of people are bereft of common sense nowadays. I'll spare everyone the 24 hour rant about drivers from yesterday afternoon.

I'll have to call it a night for now, but I'll start a discussion on it soon enough then. =3

Yes, i understand what you say. But what about street lights on that busy road? No lights are provided? Or not burning? If its a busy road definitely there will be sufficient lighting, is it not, with lots of shops open on both sides of the road?

Technically its was a two lane highway in between two towns. There were no street lights also for the sides of the road after the while lines there is about a foot of shoulder then a slight drop off. There was no reason for the man not to be walking in the slight drop off instead of half in the road.

Maybe you should complain, if it is always happening on one particular road then maybe they will install street lights. I see no need to go out in bright coloured clothes as most the time I am on the pavement, unless crossing the road and the streets that I walk along are all lit by street lights, so I am perfectly visible in dark clothes.

Ugh I hate that, it evens makes me very uncomfortable to drive when there are people on the sidewalks in the day time haha, bike riders make me very uncomfortable too in the day time. So if any of the stuff that makes me nervous in the day intensifies at night, I can totally understand what you mean, people shouldn't really go walking around on the roads at night with dark clothing, let alone walk around in the night! It's just too much of a risk to do, and you can ruin your life and someone else's life.

About bike riders, why do they think its okay to ride in the road when there is a perfectly good side walk to use, especially when there is no one walking there at the time.

I think most people just don't care or even think about it. And he would be the first person to sue the pants off of you if you hit him, even though it was more his fault than yours.

I agree with you. It is indeed upsetting specially when you are driving.. good for me I'm not driving I am just riding a public vehicle. But Even then, if our driver would encounter that on the road? it might create an accident that endangered the passengers? yes, people need commonsense I suppose.
