Some people can't sleep when traveling. They're uncomfortable in abus or some situations like that. I can sleep in any vehicle but of course when I have plenty of space because sometimes when I'm in a jeepney and it's already full, I can't sleep of course because I've no space and I can't move.
How about you? Can you sleep while you're traveling? What vehicles aren't you comfortable in when you travel or commute?

lol i can sleep almost anywhere in almost any position. When i was a kid, there was many times my parents would find me sleeping in the closet on top of the shoes. i have fallen asleep where you put your feet in the back of the car. i have fallen asleep laying half out of the bed. For me it doesn't take much if i am tired and i want to go to sleep, i just shut my eyes and im out

lol yep, it's nice to be able to do that and not have to wait until you get to a certain spot or position to fall asleep

Well, I can sleep in vehicles but only in certain condition though, usually when I'm extremely tired. Other than that I can't sleep, ah maybe I can for a second or two but I'll be woke up after few seconds, and that's not a good sleep at all... huhuhuh

i can sleep anywhere if i feel secured..tiding in a bus and jeepneys expose you to different kinds of people so sometimes sleeping puts your guard down and many things can happen when you are asleep especially if you are the kind of person who is such a deep sleeper..it can be dangerous..

I can not fall asleep while traveling, and to this day I never have fallen asleep while traveling. When I am in something that can potentially kill me, I like to be aware of everything around me, it's almost as if I was driving and I drove with my eyes closed, I feel that I must be totally conscious even if I am just a passenger. I am the same way about sleeping while even sitting up, while sitting upright, it's a position where I am aware, the only way I can actually fall asleep is when I am laying down in a still bed .

It seems to be more comfortable sleeping in a car with just your family and friends riding with you. When you are in public it seems to be harder to sleep. Maybe it's the self consciousness of wondering what you will look like, or sound like. Or maybe you might wonder if you will miss your stop. It's also frustrating when you just falling asleep and someone around you makes a loud noise that wakes you up completely.

yeah, it's really uncomfortable sleeping in a bus. But since i always get a very few hours of sleep, i tend to always sleep in a bus during a ride, even my head bumps on something really hard.

When I use to go to school during college, I always sleep my trips, it often takes two hours just to go to school and takes about for four years. Bus rides only, I can't take chances on jeep rides.
When going home, I can't really sleep. I get more cautious with that, especially when classes would end up late in the evening which would get me late trips that would really be exhausting..

Well, I’m one of those persons that don’t sleep when traveling. No matter how tired I am I still can’t sleep in a bus or in a jeepney. Even in a car though I have so much space to sleep in my body won’t go for nap.
There is a time when my family goes for a long trip. We wake up 3 in the morning to prepare and after an hour we are in the road. It will took us 6 hours to reach our destination so they decide to take a nap except for the driver of course and there I was wide awake watching them sleeping.
We reached our destination and during those 6 long hours of travel I didn’t fell in sleep, not a moment. That’s how tough my eyes are, they don’t want to be asleep missing all those beautiful scenes on the road.

I cannot sleep when I am travelling, since I only have a short way to go so if I slept I would probably miss my stop. Also I get travel sick easily, so I stay awake, since there is nothing worse than being sick in your sleep.

Almost every time I travel alone on bus I sleep, regardless of if I am tired or not I just close my eyes and fall asleep. Usually I take the bus to go either to work which takes me like thirty to forty minutes or the go to college with takes me a little longer. But still I taken shorter rides on bus and if I am alone I just fall asleep. It has never been a problem for me, I think its actually very good given that i rest at least a little and that the bus ride which is really boring seems to have taken only several minutes. People have some kind of awareness and internal clock, I strongly believe this because I always wake up just a couple of minutes before my stop, only once have I passed the stop, and this is regarless of how long the ride took. This also happens when I wake up at home, I sometimes forget to put the alarm clock on and still wake up at the time I am supposed to, also sometimes when I set it up I wake up just before it is going to go off.

Hello Kharen! Yes, of course I can usually go to sleep in any place. I've been in the most interesting situations & yes I did go to sleep such as the plane trip (international) going to Holland & where I was in the plan ride with a friend woman & she was over 300 pounds (~136 kilograms)! . It was an adventure I do have to tell you!
I've been on buses & trains--and I slept on all of them. The only thing that can be crazy----especially on buses/trains you better be watching your stuff! Some people like to steal .

If i am tired and did not get enough sleep surely i'd be sleepy on travel, doesn't matter is the place is comfortable or not.But if the travel is quite long and i know that we'll be passing some places which are new to me i try not to sleep.I want to see and memorize any landmarks along the way.

I think I'm a lot like you.
I can sleep in any vehicle when when I'm traveling.
If I'm tired I'm sleeping. Just the way it is.
I've even slept when the kids were arguing in the
car......:-)
