Has the computer changed your life?

I know the computer can make everyday life much easier; such as paying bills on line, and sending emails instead of writing letters, but how has it changed your life in other ways. Such as are you getting enough exercise or not because you sit in front of the computer all day? Are there things you used to do but you don't know more?

I remember when all we had was dial up BBSes, the forums of the early days. I loved it, I was connected with people all over the country through FidoNet and WWIVnet and the like. I remember thinking how cool it was that I could have access to more than just what was on my own machine. When the Internet was accessible, even more so. The access I had to the world was just the most amazing thing ever, sometimes we need to step back and ponder such things, we need to remember not to take the tech we have for granted.

I remember when I had dial up. I got more things done around the house. Because it would take so long for something to download I could get up and do other things.
