hehhe your posting made me laugh because I have experienced the same thing. A while ago I was so happy that I went to a ten star rating. I wrote a discussion about it bragging how happy I am but unfortunately it did not last longer than 48 hours. Wish you luck.

someone told me it has to do with people rateing your discussions. not sure if thats it, but i've been trying to remember to rate all my friends discussions great.

I understand how you feel this has happened to me too. Every time my star goes down I wonder what did I do. I am trying to learn to just forget about that star. It is just a disappointment at times. I am sorry this has happened to you and hope it doesn't affect you time and stay here. I am just logging in so it is a nine now.

Keep your chin up. I don't understand what changes the star rating unless it's a negative rating from another member. Please don't let it bother you as it could change again. If you fluctuate between and 8 and 9, you are probably closer to the 9 star. I enjoy your discussions and feedback on my discussions. Have a good day, carolbee

Oh I SO know how you feel, that happened to me once as well. Near as I can figure, I was just on the border between the two and one good rating sent me over the line and one bad one sent me right back :o( I try not to think about it much and just keep my chin up and stay positive. I also avoid topics that will bring that debate monster out of me, because it seems it is from those topics, that my star takes the worse harm. It sucks, but just try to not worry about it, keep yourself going in a positive manner and it will raise again in no time.

Dear friend i also got 8 stars today and feel happy but some body told me in a discussion that people can pull u back by giving negative stars and after your post i got the proof.I dont know why people doing it intentionally,i feel sad for you,may be i can go in same stage some day.But we have to do our good work without thinking the result.cheers.

For one thing it could be worse Tamara. Plenty of people on here with ratings lower than 9 and 8. Others have never been a 9 or 10. Don't let the rating get to you that much.

My first star was a 9 the next day it was a ten and the next day it was a 9 again I do not know what happen, sometime I don't think they know what the ratings mean and just be doing something. Because I never disagreed with any one. The subject I don't understand I stay away from.

Hi Tamara! I have been there before. I know how it feels to lose something that you really worked hard for. However, I realized that it's such a waste of time worrying about what is going on with our stars and that number in it. Those who do this to us would just be happier if they see how upset we are. I would suggest that you just go on with your usual myLot activities and you will get back your 9 or even get a 10 soon. Good luck to you!

as i told you in my last response to your discussion regarding star rating, don't get bothered by the it, it will not help boost our earnings here. i have been to that situation before, when i discussed something about cheating here. i didn't expected it but it went down a little. but now, i just put the ratings as my signature, to keep me reminded of my posts, how active i am. don't get bothered by the stars. Hi tamara, don't get disheartened. The star rating doesn't matter in anyway other than satisfying our egos. I have experienced this fluctuation myself. I can't quite understand why this happens, but why worry about such things. Keep posting and keep your spirits high. Happy mylotting.

I'm not sure if that happened to me before or not since I don't keep watch over it. It's understandable that you'll feel bad but hey, you have a lot of friends here and that's what counts. I like the fact that you are one of mine.
