I like Anthony Hopkins. -He does creepy movies and he is a great actor. Second..I would say either Shirley McClaine or Jack Nicholson! (Weird or creepy! That's my thing!)

I also like anthony hopkins especially in silence of the lambs. He's one actor who I think can be good at any role he plays, but i havent really heard of him lately. I guess he's already semi-retired.

the hollywood actors and actress are there to act. so i always admire the ones who can play their roll excellently and perfectly. i always thing the acting skill is the main required quality of an actor or actress. considering that, my favorite actors are marlon brando, robert de niro, al pacino, anthony hopskins; while my favorite actresses are jodie foster, judi dench, gwyneth paltrow, katherine hepburn, and audrey hepburn.

The actors and actresses you mentioned indeed are all very good. Whatever role you give them, they always deliver. I love Robert de Niro especially in Deer Hunter (that's the first movie I saw him in). Al Pacino in Scarface was amazing and Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs was really creepy.

Yeah I like him too especially in his romantic movies like Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. He can play either drama or comedy roles which makes him a superb actor.

Your absolutely right. Johnny Depp is one very talented and charismatic actor. I've seen almost all his movies. One thing I like about him is his being low-profile. He'd rather be with his family than be in the party scene.

I used to love bruce willis since "moonlighting" and "die hard" and I still love him. The actor that I love mostly is jack nicholson, I love his crazyiness, the way he fulls the screen, his charm and he knows how to choose movies and more.. actually I think he is making the movie to be what it is. there is something therapeutic in watching him. happy mylotting.

Henry Fonda (RIP) is #1 with me. After him, there are plenty great actors/actresses, but he was just so versatile. He played evil (Once Upon a Time in the West), inspirational (Grapes of Wrath), comedic (Cheyenne Social Club), brooding (My Darlin Clementine), humbly righteous, (12 Angry Men). He could do it all...first rate.

I've only seen 12 Angry Men but I think I'd love to see his other films. 12 Angry Men is the second black&white film I've seen and it makes me feel I really missed a lot in the years before I was born. I kind of wish to be born in those times when Hollywood really glitters...unlike the Hollywood today. It still glitters today, but I believe Hollywood in the past is really glamorous.
And yes, I also think John Cusack in Being John Malkovich really proved himself as an actor. He was able to portray such weird, sort of obsessive, crazy guy. John was incredible in doing that character.:)

If you run into some Fonda films, by all means, rent them, tape them, download them...you wont be disappointed. I LOVE a good film in Black and White. Sometimes shadings can be more effective than color, especially in film noir, where every thing is supposed to be dark and slightly sinister.
Fonda did many B&W movies, some directed by John Ford. They are treasures.

You know...I can't leave out the"Duke"...John Wayne. I didn't like his politics or, for the most part, his acting, but I loved his movies. His supporting cast was always full of characters and his many movies with director John Ford were great.
There were 3 movies that showed he had good acting instincts...The Quiet Man, The Shootist, and his greatest performance...True Grit. He provided my generation with a massive amount of entertainment.

It depends...like i loved:
Johnny Depp in PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN
Will Smith in I ROBOT, I AM LEGEND
Gerard Buttler in 300, P.S I LOVE YOU
Jim Carrey in THE MASK
Nicholas Cage in CITY OF ANGELS
Anthony Hopkins in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and the others which followed...
It actually depends on the movie itself and the role...
