What would you do if you see a lady with a stain on the back of her skirt? It happened to a lady when I was walking. I covered her back and whispered, "You have a red stain on your skirt."

Good to know I've never been to situations like that...because I always see to it that when its my monthly period, I always bring a sanitary pad...but there are some ladies that doesn't have normal menstrual period so they cannot predict when will their period be, so I guess these are women who experienced situations like what you said... It's very embarassing to be in situation like that, and good to know that you did the right thing...the lady must be very thankful to you for showing some concern, and i hope others will do that also...Some may be hesitant to approach ladies, but I tell you, we really appreciate it when at least one would be brave enough to tell us than to be embarassed to the whole crowd... I never saw one that has a stain, and i will also do the same of what you did, because if I were into situation like that, I wouldn't want to happen that also... Have a nice day! God bless!

Hey djoyce, I'm joliefille. You must've confused this with another discussion I responded to. Yeah it really is embarrassing. I'm glad my period has become regular for the last 10 years. I do bring sanitary napkins in my bag when my period is drawing near. If not, I wear dark pants.

Wow good for you!!!!! One time I had a heavy pd. I asked a gal friend if I was ok. "OH yes" she said. When I got home I was a mess. I know she lied to me. How could she have done that? She is so persnickity she could not tell me the truth! That is no friend.

Awful having a friend like that. I mean, some people don't have the courage to come up to you and tell you there's something wrong with your skirt, but if its your friend and you already asked her, why couldn't she tell you? She's a woman too, after all. On the other hand, it could happen that there really was no stain at the time that she looked, but the flow became stronger afterwards, resulting in the mess you saw when you got home. Might be better if you think that way...

I'd have done what you did. I've been in that situation, and it's really, really embarassing to come home and find that no one said anything and watched it all day.

Actually that has happened to me a couple of times. And I didn't find it uncomfortable but that I was helping here. And each time I always thought why hadn't someone said something to the person before. I actually used to wonder how does that happen and you not know? Well that was before I was older and my body just decided to act on its own accord. When I was younger I could predict the day and the hour, and could prepare my self. But it seems that since I passed 40, I never know what the deal is going to be. And even sometimes doubling or tripling up on protection is not enough. Fortunate for me since I work for myself I can tailor my schedule and have now gotten to the point that I try to stay home during that few days. Its easier for me to work from home so that I am not "the lady".

yes what u did is right n its all our duty to help eachother in this kind of situation. i think this is a better way to inform the about it but sometimes it tends to think that how the person is not aware about this , dont u think its a little messy to think ?

It happened to me. There are times that you won't know if it's there already. Maybe because some women are just too busy, not noticing there's a stain already.

but dont u think when we have this time we usually check our back again n again so that we dont feel insulting any time if it appears to others like this. anyways might be sometimes it happens.

wow. talk about embarassing. i've never been the one to have to tell someone that they have a red stain, but i've been on the other end. it's a red face moment when someone tells you that, but it's better than walking around all day with it and no one saying anything.

once i was walking in a crowded mall and i saw a young girl with her family walking, and all her back of her pants was very bloody. i was embarrassed for her. i was younger and too embarrassed to tell her...but it is very crowded. so i am sure she knew by then...just was trying to act normal as not to attract too much attention and freak out.

I will do as you do . Because it is really so embarrassed for a lady. I remember that when I was in high school , I have this experience .I fond a red stain in my trousers , I didn't know when exactly it had been there , but it was really so embarrassed . So I asked teach for leave ,and went home to change my trousers . now I am really careful during these days every month , and never have a red stain on my skirt or trousers any more. Oh, buy the way ,I don't often wear skirt during these days.

That's the right attitude! I also would do the same if I saw any woman with red stains. It's very embarrassing for a woman to walk and walk without knowing that everybody is looking at her back already. Who else would care but a woman like her.

I think I would tell the lady about it. I'd want to let her know so she can do something about it if she is able to (like wash it off with Hydrogen Peroxide/Agua Oxigenada or something else). It happened to me recently. Thank goodness for that lady, and thank goodness I was wearing a red T-shirt that day. So I just covered it up since the shirt is long until I got home. We ladies know how it feels so I think it's very much okay to tell another lady that she has a stain on her skirt so she can do something about it and we can spare her of further embarassment.

I was in that situation at high school, luckily my friend told me! It has also happened to my mum. In our family, the women are all heavy bleeders so that experience is not uncommon. I would hope if we didn't have friends around, there was a person like you to tell us. What a nice person you are for doing that. :)

Yeah i would tell them if i could get to them easily to let them know without causing more attention. I would appreciate someone telling me if i had this problem. I know it would be quite embarrassing initially, but it is better than walking around and embarrassing yourself further. Every woman would appreciate this if it is done tactfully and not to draw attention.

I have been fortunate enough to not be the one with the stain, nor have to tell anyone, but if i seen someone with a stain i would surely tell them.

Thank god for me, as i always use darker colours, i don dare to use lighter colour pants or skirts , even my jeans is black ...or dark blue .. i know myself, i am clumsy at times and seat at places without checking the seats, i am always scared i might seat on something and have stains on my skirts or pants ... so i found the best solution .. darker bottoms and desired coloured tops ... cheers

I have never seen a woman with red on the back of her skirt, but I'm pretty sure that if I saw it, I would have told her something. This on the other hand has happened to me on one occasion, while I was in highschool and I walked around half of the day like that and no one told me and I didn't find out till I got home. I could never understand why anyone didn't even tell me, not even a teacher.
