I am not really new to cooking. I do cook from time to time. However, I do not cook that much. Recently however, I found myself cooking more than I did in the past. I find satisfaction in cooking. It seems like it has become my new passion. Yes, I am more passionate about cooking now. Even my boyfriend was surprised that I cook more now than I did before. I told him that I enjoy cooking now because he influenced me much in this area. I also cook better now. Even my parents would agree that I have improved greatly when it comes to cooking. Dad said it's good that somehow, aside from preparing pasta dishes, I now know a lot of other dishes. I would like to learn more so at this moment, I am actually downloading an e-cookbook that my cousin sent to my mail.

I am a bit like you, I cook when the mood takes me which is not as often as I should like. I like to cook from scratch and I like to experiment with recipes and change them to my own taste. I just do not get much time to get in the kitchen and do it, I always seem to be on a time schedule with everything and so it is easier to just make quick meals.

Hi dolce_vita78! Wow, dear friend you are inspired! I wonder why? It must be love perhaps?! I don't know how to cook too before but when I got married, I learned by force how to cook. haha..It is always expensive to eat out so I have to learn the skills. In time, I did learn and fell in love with cooking too. I love it when my husband loves what I have prepared for him and love it as much when my guests appreciates it too.
Take care always..God Bless!

welcome to my world - cooking!
i love to cook as well, like you i am very passionate about it. i think that is why my husband is gaining some weight lately haha
i am hoping to improve my cooking when it comes to nutritional value and not what my husband always want it to be LOL
my mom is surprise that i can cook different cuisine now coz she only knows a few and not really let us cook when we are living under her care.
i also want to learn how to bake some time soon coz i love desserts and he loves chocolate chip cookies - i hope!
ebooks are really cool to have but it is hard to use when i want to cook something specifically coz i have to bring my computer in the kitchen, i can print them but it is kinda wasteful to do so.
i have many kitchen books now and i am hoping i can have different country soon.
anyway, good luck on your cooking and great to know that your boyfriend is happy about it.
food is one of the way to their hearts LOL
takecare

Hi dolce_vita78, great to hear that. I'm interesting in cooking also. But i can't afford to cook everyday as when i come back from office, it's actually already over the dinner time, hehe :p Normally i only cook during weekend especially when i feel lazy to go out and have a meal.

I love cooking. I think it started in High School when I found myself home alone and starving. I'd whip up something tasty and WaaLaa...dinner was served.
I'm constantly finding new recipes and ideas online. There's so many great sites that I keep up with. Allrecipes.com is a really good one. I like the sites that put up reviews from other people who've actually made the recipe themselves.
I see cooking like I do anything else. It takes practice and patience. Keep at it and you'll become a wonderful cook. And don't be afraid to add your own little things to a recipe or omit something if it doesn't suit your tastes. Happy cooking! :) :) :)

im similarly like you, not really into cooking but just recently developed the passion. Somehow my burning desire to get out of my parents' house and live on my own intensified that sudden inkling, because i need to really have that independence -- in all aspects, literally.,by the way, can you share the link please where i can download an ecookbook? ;-) thanks
