is this a problem in our society that we need to respond to?is it?
when i have nothing to do i spend my time taking photos of myself and upload them to my computer..is this really a bad habit i need to get rid of?
Also i spend lots of time looking in the mirror just checking out my clothes, appearance, hair, face, etc.
I believe that I'm not the only one in this situation, many people just do the same..Some say that we're wasting time just looking at ourselves..some even say that this is a disorder...
is it really a problem?

vanity is not really a bad thing, if you have that much time, you can do much vanity. No one will stop you, its our right and freedom.. but it becomes a problem if you don't know your priorities, that will also depend on you. If you need to prioritize your studies then you must control your being vain.. If it becomes a hindrance to your top priorities then it will become a bad thing..

Everything in moderation, but when vanity turns to obsession there lies the problem, I have a problem with vanity, mainly an obsession that I keep looking and touching my stomach! It always seems big to me yet people tell me I have a good body, but I am not satisfied with it! I keep looking at it in the mirror, I keep holding it in, I do lots of exercise, sit ups, burning of calories I have started to eat less, I want a flat stomach and until I get it I will not be happy! The trouble is that vanity doesn't last neither does beauty as we get older it fades and we struggle not to get older so we do everything we possibly can to look young, most of us are frightened of getting old and losing our looks that's why we can be vain in that way.

Whatever you do in excess is always a bad thing. I think taking pictures of yourself simply means you take pride of how you look and accept yourself physically. But if it's what you always do, and it can also be a reason for neglecting your other priorities, then I think it is a bad thing.
Happy posting! Welcome to the mylot family.. :)
