I feel so excited for the seminar that I will be attending next week. I know that this will help me enhance my functionality as an employee. But I am also thinking how will I be without my kids, my wife and especially our 1 year old baby. Three days will be long enough without me beside them, especially at night. I will surely miss them but I really have to go. All things has been set for the said seminar. (neildc @ red/89/1675)

Hello
It is hard to be parted from loved ones no matter even if it is a couple of days . If I could I would love if my fiance was with me when I have to go away with out him . My parents had a condo at a resort a few years ago and he could not get all the time off work as he wanted . I missed him like crazy the whole time . We talked on the phone each night and i wrote him letters and left with him to read while I was gone . We have been togeher coming up on 8 years and we have only been apart around 5 nights .
You will be okay Neil and time will fly by !

that is one more reason being away with the family makes traveling expensive, we spend much on cell phone load to always keep in touch with them. so at least, you are with hubby there.

I hope that you will enjoy your seminar next week. I have a 15 month old son so I know that if I was away from him for a few days I would really miss him. I would also think about my two dogs and my parrot in my absence.
I really love to travel and since my son was born in 2007 I have traveled with him. Last year I took him to Portugal and this year I took him to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In the past I traveled alone and really enjoyed doing this. On a long trip over a year or a number of months the home sick feeling comes at 3 to 4 weeks into the trip.

oh, your son is almost of the same age of my son. this is the age the kids that they actually start showing some tricks, like dancing, singing, which really gives us joy. the length of your absence from home is too much for me to be away from them, i really can't imagine that, months? or over a year? that will surely give me a home-sick feeling and i don't think i can handle that.

oh yes really ice. if i can only bring with me my wife and at least the two youngest kids of ours, i will. but if will mean a lot of money to spend. i will just try to go back home according to the schedule so i will shorten the agony of missing them.

if you travel with your wife, that means that you double your traveling expenses? Just kidding. but if i have a lot of money to spend, i will bring them all together even if that is an official travel.

Oh best. I don't know. I have mixed emotions right now. I feel happy because it's for your enhancement. I'm feeling sad because I'm going to miss my very best friend. I always tell you that my day won't be complete without our usual chat. You know what I mean do you? I will be praying for your safety best.

i moved 1034 miles away from the rest of my family and my husbands family. we miss everyone terrible and cant wait to get back. we moved to better place for our children but they want grandma and the rest of the family and at the same time of thm really living in a better environment i feel like im being a horrible parent. we are going back and im 50/50 on the deal. you live once we can move again after we take care of who we have to. you will be fine for 3 days. it will be over before you know it. hang in there.

Of course it's my ever loving hubby and my ever sweet son and my every cutey cutey twin grandchildren and my ever caring mommy that I will miss the most when I travel. That is why I will not travel without them as much as possible. It is so hard to spend nights without them by me. It would be soooo lonely!

i see that. of course if it's a travel for pleasure or a vacation with the family. but mine is a lot different for this is pure business, on official travel.

When I am on a trip somewhere far away, I usually miss my boyfriend. He's far away for now but not being able to chat with him for those days I'm gone is quite lonely. But I think it's also good to be away for a few days. Absence makes the heart grows fonder as they say.

i will agree with you that for some times, it is better to be a way with each other and the relationship makes a little sweeter too. but probably, that may only good with sweethearts, boyfriend-girlfriend relationships. that maybe different thing if you already married, and there are already kids, like the one little naughty boy we have.

Hi Neil,
Don't worry time will pass very quickly and before you know it you will be home and I think they will cope for a few days, just concentrate on the seminar, you will be fine.

Of course I will miss my girlfriend the most. We really don't get to chance to meet often so traveling would mean that I won't get to have the chance to meet her. Although we could call each other the physical presence is still different.

being away really means a lot with the relationships and keeping in touch will lessen the feelings. but you are right, physical presence is different with just talking on the phone.

Well I am not married yet, or have kids. But I will definitely miss no one, if for three days only. But if for a week or more, I'll definitely miss my parents. I dont want to leave them. But it requires that I leave my parents, well it is okay. As long as I can go back on weekends whenever I want to.

that is one good thing with singles, they can go anywhere not thinking of who are left behind. i mean, it's not the same feelings with people like who are married and with a very naughty baby. of course, singles will miss their parents and pets if they got one.
