Or do you just add them when you are prompted to? I don't interest on purpose, I just add them when I am asked to after responding to a discussion in that particular interest. How about you? Do you go to the interest page to add the interest that you want? How do you think adding a lot of interest help you here in myLot?

I add interest when prompted... only when the subject really interests me. I think in a way it helps because when you are starting a discussion it helps you find the right subject to put it. Adding a lot of interest does help if those interests you put are your real interests, otherwise, it will not serve the purpuse.

I also think that the interests we add should be our real interests. And that is why I only add interest when I have responded to a discussion in that interest. There are also times when I don't add the interest of the discussion I respond to when I don't really think I should belong to it. And you are right, it helps to find the right subject to start a discussion with. That should be the best help adding interests can give. Have a nice day!

I'm already add much interest when I sign up at mylot. Before I join here, I have hear that we must add much interest, so it will help as to search or find discussion that we want to respond. Although it is not a requirement because we make respond by selecting in mylot home page. Now, I don't add more interest by myself. But when there are interest that prompted, I will add it. So it will add my number of interest easily.

I have also added some interest when I sign up for myLot. And they say that it would be easy to do so. But I have some interest where I don't really respond to or start discussions on. I usually get my discussion from the "friend started" page. At that time, I deleted all my interests and only added them when I am prompted. Have a nice day!

How did adding interests helped you here in myLot. Or does it provide you any help? I don't really add interest when not prompted to. I try to have those interest in which I have posts. When I don't have a discussion or a response in a certain interest, I think it is not really my interest. have a nice day!

I pretty much only add them when I'm prompted to. Once or twice I've added one when I added a discussion that needed one...

When I started here in myLot, I was brought to the page and it says that I should start adding interests. I did added some. But when I discovered what it is for, I turned them all off and then started adding only when prompted to. have a nice day!

What do you mean empty? You mean there are no discussions in there at all? That is why I only add interest when prompted. I don't think an interest is my interest if I don't have at least one discussion or response in that interest. Have a nice day!

I've added a few interests on purpose as I don't think they will be prompted soon as there are hardly any topics on it but I have started topics on it myself. For example on the drink 'Fernandez green punch' or about my little ponies (I think there are hardly 10 discussions on those so far). I will add interests along the way if I think I will use them frequently, otherwise the page gets so crowded that the interests only make things harder instead of easier.

I do if I am going to discuss something and I don't find that interest listed. I don't think I ever added something just because it was funny or interesting, though. WHen I registered it asked me to list and register my interests which I did. Many of them existed already of course, some didn't and I added them at that time.

All the interest i'm interested in, i have added them when i signed up with mylot.. MOst of the time, those prompted interest, i wun add them in, unless it really gets into my nerves when almost everybody started a discussion in that particular interest and it keeps popping out.. Thus i will add that interest because i just wanna keep it down and stop irritating me.. lol

I think the first time I joined here, I purposely add interest in my profile, until now, I also add them when I am prompted to, I don't add it purposely now, just when I asked to add it after responding in that particular interest. I think it really help me a great deal having a lot of interest, in that way, I can choose topics and responded to it because it was related to me.

When I first started mylot I went through and added a whole lot of interests that I liked then I got bored and stopped, and if I will sometimes go through my intrestes and add more, but most of the time if I respond to one of my friends discussions and it prompts me to add an interest and it is an interest I like I will add it or if it is one I do not like I will just ignore it,I think having a lot of interests does help because it puts more discussions on your discussions by interest page.

Hi richiem, I started out in the beginning to add interests on my own. But, now they have grown out of control. I add them when I am prompted it I like the category. But, there are plenty of times that I just don't like the category and I say no. I still seem to have an overwhelming number of interests anyway. I don't really know if they help me or not on mylot. I'm not really paying attention to that. I just do what I always have done and that is responding to my friends discussions and having a great time. That's what makes me happy. I don't even pay attention to my post counts anymore. I just type away and enjoy paying attention to what my friends are saying and what is going on in their lives. I've really gotten to be interested in being a part of certain peoples lives and it means alot to me to be with them now and I truly look forward to spending time with them every day if I can.

I only add an interest if I am prompted to. but I added several when I was just a newbie, and if the interest is really interesting. Adding interest is very helpful for us because we can see more new discussion if we add interest. In our homepage, we can see the discussions from your interest side bar. I guess it's the best to know the new discussions that interests you.

I had added many on purpose to start with and add more as they crop up when responding to discussions. I don't add them all just certain ones.

I add interest when I am prompted to, but I also go and interests of what I want to get a lot of discussions on. I find the latter better because when I am asked to add an interest, maybe I will not get many replies on that, but I know that I will be writing a lot of discussions on Christianity, Health, Healthy Living, Being Frugal, Finances, Writing, and Singing. But even though I do love old movies, I might not be writing many on a discussion about Gaslight, for instance. It does help, but it does get confusing when the discussion you want to stop does not match any of your interests and you have to invent a new Interest.

Hi richiem. I do add interests on myLot by going to the interest page. I usually do it when I want to start a discussion in an interest area that I haven't selected yet. I also add them when I am prompted to do so. But, I do find myself choosing "no" on quite a few interests. I wonder if some people just choose "yes" every single time they are prompted, regardless of the interest area.

The only time that I will add an interest is when I respond to a discussion and it asks me after. I was just adding anything that came up, I must have a right mixture of odd interests! I did stop though because it was getting a bit much so I refuse to add a lot of interests now. I think that the only way the interest thing helps is to give me more choice of discussions to respond too.

I add them when the prompt comes up and I'm interested enough in the topic. Now that you mentioned it, I realized I have way too many interests, lol. Maybe I should go through and delete some. I also noticed that there are some double and triples in there, just different ways of phrasing the same interest header. If I'm ever bored I might go through and delete some stuff, lol.

I added some interets when I joined and later added them whenever prompted to. I even added to new interests. Adding more interests helps you in responding to lots of interesting discussions, which we may lose if it is not automatically loaded in our browser
