Well...I currently have two dogs and I did not name either one of them. They came from other people who needed to find them new homes. One is a shih tzu named Gizmo (and his face really does look like a Gizmo - from that movie in the 80's I think - what was it called - GREMLINS (that's it)). The other one is a Peekapoo named Wesley - now...why anyone would name a dog "Wesley" is beyond me. I used to date a guy named Wesley so I really wanted to change this dog's name...however, he is a stubborn little thing and I gave up trying to change it. He is an awesome dog. I do remember naming two other dogs. When I was a kid we got a miniature schnauzer puppy. I remember going out-to-eat with the family (parents and brother and sister) to "figure out" what we were going to name our new puppy. We decided on BENSON...because this was our favorite tv show character at the time. He was an awesome dog! I then got a cokapoo/maltese/bichon (the vet, breeder and hair dresser could not agree what he was) mutt. He was adorable and LOVED to play ball. So we named him CAMPY after Bert Campaneris (baseball player). Man...he loved to play ball. He could play for hours if someone would just throw the ball. Well...that is how my four dogs all got their names. :-) Great discussion excellence7! Hope you have a GREAT weekend.

My dogs name is Beau and I'm not really sure why i chose it other than it was a name that I liked. Most dogs that are named Bo the name is spelled just like that. My dog's name is spelled like the person's name because it is kind of like a little person to me. Plus he's like a little companion ,type of dog, another reason for the name. He is a real cutie.

I have a Parti Cocker who is 8 years old. My son gave him the first name MARSHALL and I added a middle name of BUCKINGHAM. To me MARSHALL BUCKINGHAM sounds like a royal name - and it fits. Because MARSHALL BUCKINGHAM is the King of our house.

We have four dog in our house. The mother of all dogs and the oldest one is Chito, we name her after the vocalist of a celebrity rock band. The other one is Kiro, he was given to us by our neighbor and we don't gave him a new name. My favorite one is Marina, named after the telenovela in our country. And last is Moy-moy, he is a very naughty dog.

I have 2 dogs. One pit named Holly...she just looked like a "holly." I also have a 1/2 pit, 1/2 shepherd names Nela. The word NELA was scratched into her collar when I found her (or when she found me), with no address or phone number. We adopted Holly from a local shelter just before she was going to be put down. And Nela's 'parents' never claimed her. This is how we got all of our pets.

We had 4 dogs in the house when I was a little girl. Their names were taken from the political icons during the Martial Law period in the Philippines from 1972-1982. Our dogs were named as Macoy(who else, the man of the martial rule Marcos), Ninoy(Ninoy Aquino), Joker(Joker Arroyo) and Vitoy(Jovito Salonga). All of them were good security guards at night from that place of insurgents in Mindanao during the Martial Law years.

my dog's name is "dillie", although it was supposed to be "dill" after tommy pickles' little brother in rugrats (i was a big rugrats fan then.) but then we found out that dill was actually a girl. we were confused because she had some kind of a hernie which led us to think that she was male. so, i just added the "ie" to make the name feminine. we usually still call her dill though because it's shorter, but formally her name should be dillie.

Well, we have a black and white lab. She's part pit bull and part lab. I call her a mutt, but her name is Little Girl. She's house trained and been through obedience school. She is actually my fiance's dog. So, she was here before I got here. I'll ask her "Where's daddy?" and she barks...my fiance ask her "where's mama?" and she runs to me to nudge me! Little Girl is a very friendly dog and she loves road trips.

After giving birth to 5 sons, I figured the only way I was going to get a girl was to go to the pound! I adopted a cute little beagle/corgi mix, female of course. Her name was Rachel, which I thought was so fitting since I had always wanted a little girl! She is 4 years old now and is, as my husband says, a total girlie girl lol!

Secret Party Circle is a white miniature poodle with black patches. He is so unusual looking because breeders like solid colors. Many of his black patches are hidden and it depends how long his coat is whether they can seen or not. His fur is short at the moment but he will appear more white when his fur grows. He has a black ear and a half black half white ear. The name Secret suits him. Magic May Flower is a black miniature poodle. He is ordinary looking. Magic is her co0lor for sure and her name is mystical like Secret. My two dogs names go well together: Secret and Magic.

my puppy Haohao - this is my puppy haohao, which means very good, perfect, and excellent.
Hello dear excellence. The name of my dog is haohao, which means very good, excellent and perfect. She is a very cute puppy. We love her so much. Each time when we leave home, going downstairs, she will look at us that way. From the picture you can see her way of saying bye to us. You know why? It is because we turn around to the next flight of stairs and she is used to seeing us off this way when we turn around and close the door. I love my haohao so much. Thank you for your discussion.

Hi there excellence7... I have 2 dogs, one is named Hershey's... yeah, like the chocolate bar (LOLs) and the other is Pulgosa, it is patterned from a very famous dog of a Mexican Show, Mari Mar....I named the first dog Hershey's because it is like a tradition on our dogs to be named after a chocolate product, before we got Snickers, Mars, Toblerone and Cadbury... It is really fun, it also serves as their identity since we based their names in chocolates, we make sure that we'll name them in the chocolate's color like them and for Pulgosa... I just currently watch a remake of that Mexican Show here in our country, so I decided to name my dog the same but the female version...

Hi. I have a collie cross called Shearer. We chose this name after the Newcastle Utd player Alan Shearer because he is black and white lol. All the local kids know him when we take him for a walk and shout "SHEARER, SHEARER!" at him lol. I will post a picture of him sometime.

Our dogs name is sniffles. No reason really. My sister named him, she just liked the name. When we first got him we were debating whether or not we should call him oreo (cause he is black and white) or sniffles. My little sister liked the name sniffles and really technically it is her dog so that is how we came up with the name.
