what does LOL mean?

for a few times, i see some mylotters use "lol" in responding discussions~~ is there anyone kind enough to tell me what is the meaning and if possible tell me more about this kind of abbreviations,thanks~~~

LOL. Its a a very common language used in the net, LOL simply means Laugh Out Loud, its like saying hahaha, or hehehe, or it just means taking pleasure into something
