Is my friend being selfish?

I have a friend who has been living with her boyfriend for about three months. She says that things are not going so great but her boyfriend thinks are fine. So her plan is to break up with him and move out of his house while he is away on a trip. She says she can't handle the argument that she knows will happen. I told her that that was kind of harsh. What do you think?
