With the onset of mp3s and iPods, do you still listen to a radio station?
With the new gadgets, we now have the freedom to choose what music we want to hear and how and when to hear it instead of requesting for it from the DJ and waiting for it to be played.
Are radio stations still relevant in today's generation?

I didn't listen to radio stations for information about the stock
market. I don't think we have a radio station like that here in
our country. You should be a business man then.
There are radio stations which are theme-specific, for example
they only play mellow music. It should be good for you.
Have a nice day!

I still do listen to radio stations specially in the morning when I want to listen to fresh news. I also listen in the night and make it sure it is in a Christian station so I could hear some inspiring messages to uplift my spirit and to enrich my mind with wisdom from biblical thoughts shared in the radio station of my choice. I believe radio stations are still relevant despite the new gadgets that could in a way replace the radio stations in the ear of the younger generation. But for me, some radio stations do have some relevance and I cannot just set them aside.

I am still loyal to my radio station and believe that they still hold purpose with today's generation. The new "me" generation still has to be connected to the rest of the world. One day radio stations may lose popularity but I can never see us being without some sort of radio broadcasting.

I still listen to the radio from time to time. Mostly when I have company over. Almost every time we have company over we have the radio on. Honestly I don't really listen to music that much any more, when I do I only listen to it for a while. I usually listen to my cd's that I have or the radio when company is over. I think radio's are still important, for one thing I think a lot of people still listen to them in the car. Another reason I think they are still important is to let you hear new songs. If we never listened to the radio I am sure there would be quite a few songs that we would never hear.

There are really a lot of information that we can get from radio
stations just like from televisions. Today, even FM stations have
news and other informational programs.
I believe radio stations are still important in our everyday life.
Have a nice day!

I know I still listen to radio, mainly because of the humourous banter, the contests, someone selling something, or even mention of something in events that may be going on in the community.
Plus, it's most likely the only acceptable thing to play in an office, because it's pretty guaranteed that there will be no cursing.

Not really. I have it playing in the car pretty low. We actually have satalight radio in the car right now for a year since we just bought a new car so we listen to the country channel on there. Its ok but I wouldn't pay for it.

I still listen to the radio but I would have to say it is less than I used to. At home I now turn on the itunes on the computer or turn on the tv onto the music where I can access alternative, oldies, latin or whatever I feel like that day. In my car I have a gadget that allows me to play my ipod through the car radio so I listen to that in my car more than I do my cd's but still listen to the radio. There is a fairly new alternative radio station here and it is really good so I like hearing new tunes on it. There is always something new to hear.

I still listen to the radio. First of all, unlike some people, I like DJ's. I like to hear what they have to say between songs. Sometimes about the songs, sometimes just about life in general. I also like to listen to NPR. It's one of the better sources for news, and I love many of the shows, like Wait, Wait, don't tell me, This American Life, A Prairie Home companion, and Car Talk.
Besides, how would I find out about new music without the radio?

I don't have those gadgets, but I do listen to a radio station over the internet sometimes, and I listen to several digital audio broadcast stations.
I don't listen to many music stations, because I use the radio to listen mainly to the news, documentaries, topical discussions, drama and comedy. If I want to hear music, I will choose a station which only plays the sort of music I want to hear.

yes, I still do, it was still enjoying and fun to listen in the radio. Especially if you're listening to you're favorite radio stations, kinda enjoying and quite curious to hear the songs that they're playing next. Also, sometimes. it was through radio, that I discover some new or some old songs that I like and then I'll just downloaded it afterward.

I still listen to the radio. I like to listen while I'm driving my car and station surf. I also sleep with the radio on. It helps me to not be worrying why I haven't fallen asleep yet. If I wake up at night the radio will be on to give my brain something to focus on other than why I woke up for no apparent reason. Imsomiacs have issues like that to worry about. Anyway, radio is still relevant today.

Yes, i still listens to my favourite radio stations.
I know it is nothing compared to these cool gadgets. I have them too. But its only to store my favourite songs and videos. But id rather listen to radio stations all day than had some ipod ear piece sticking to my ears and playing the same tunes over and over again. One disadvantage in it is, it makes me quite deaf. im muted to the whole world but my music. LOL
In radio stations, i can hear a variety of music, if im feelin blue, ill just tune in to my favourite mellow rock stations. And it also give us informations on whats the music hit. And more important is, i can talk to anybody without shouting, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYIN AGAIN?" :D

Not usually. Really the only time I listen to music is in my car while I'm driving. I usually just play CDs. But sometimes I'll get sick of all my current music, but I'll be too lazy to burn or buy new CDs. So then I turn on the radio. The downside of the radio is definitely commercials. But what I really like about listening to the radio is that if something really major were to happen while I was driving, they'd report it on the radio. Also traffic and weather reports can be helpful!

Yes, I still listen to the radio. Radio station has lots of varieties, so you won't gt tired of listening to songs. I have this favorite radio station, I always listen to the DJ everyday because he is so funny. And I also listen to radio because it's a nice feeling to wait for your favorite songs to be played, and I also wait for the top ten countdown.
