I have recently started jogging in evenngs.. Am running almost 30 kms per week.
I have heard jogging reduces your mental stress.
Is it a fact??
But one thing is for sure it gives me a satisfaction which is hard to achieve under normal circumstances..will slowly and gradually increase my mileage..

Yes, it definatley reduces my mental stress and energizes me for what I may do next. Every single day that I run I feel like I have accomplished something. The sense of accomplishment is very high on my list of things that are important. Today I had a cross country race(5K) and I felt soo wonderful after it, because I know I tried my hardest and that I achieved something. If I do not run everyday or almost everyday, I notice I get more stressed out and have bad body image. Running keeps me from going insane!

It does reduce mental stress. In fact any kind of exercise reduces mental stress. When you exercise, certain chemicals are produced in your brain(and I can't remember what they're called) that help create a more positive mood and helps you feel happy. Plus as you increase your mileage, you get a feeling of accomplishment as well. I use to run road races years ago, and there is a certain satisfaction from running that you don't get from other sports or types of exercise. I sometimes find myself missing it, but I've been out of it for too long and I'm a little too old to start back. I tried a couple of years ago, actually, and it didn't work out.

Hello I run at the treadmill in the gym all the time and I think it really does work. I tried running in my village for two months before and I lost a lot of weight. But it's really important to observe a strict diet as well. Exercising in general helps to release endorphins which gives us the feeling of euphoria.

Yes it is. Running is great for your heart and you lose a lot of wight and gain muscle, which is also good for your health. And it has been shown to cure depression better than any medicine out there. So keep on running and reap the benefits!!!
