Are you a respectful person?

yes i am. frankly speaking i also try to give due respect to people. but there are people who do not know to keep this respect. its different then.

Honestly Mimpi, I conciously try and make sure I am polite and respectful to people, especially elderly people. There have been instances when I may have unconciously been slighlty impolite or disrespectful and i've made sure i've apologised on those instances. As to how respectful I really am, it difficult for me to judge, its something i prefer to be judged on. It's something i feel very strongly about though. There have been instances that i have expressed my displeasure strongly to people who have shown some sort of disrespect to elders . You are absolutely right we are paid back by the same coin and in my case I'm sure time will tell.

Interesting question, but it's difficult to answer it. Trying to be a respectful person but still struggling to do it. We live in a sinful world and different culture. Of course there are some 'universal respectful' and we should practice it in our life. For me, it's far from respectful person. Because my standard is a Bible standard. But, maybe for some people I am a respectful person.. Now I am trying to show my respectful to you mimp:))

Yes I can be resentful, it all depends on the situation, I don't like to be this way but I think resentment is one of those emotions you don't really have control over, it just happens.

I would say I am. With the values that my parents have instilled in me for the past 20 years or so, I am positive that I am a respectful person. Respect doesn't stop among elders alone, it talks about how you deal and treat all the people around you regardless of age, affiliations, and the like. It's a way of life. To respect and be respected in return mean a lot to us humans. We should all think about that always to maintain harmony.

yes i do, and i do believe also about respecting others so they can respect you tooo... but the thing is that sometimes, people take advantage of it so we should be careful too...

Be respected...yes I agree that this is very essential. And we are respected only if we respect ourselves and respect others. I try always to be polite and considerate to others. Even if someone is rude to me I try to avoid being disrespecful.

Well I believe I am a respectful person. I chose my profession (nursing) so I could help others and make them feel better. The best job I ever had was working in a nursing home. Some of the elderly just get dropped off and forgotten about and it always made me feel good to do something special for them,even if it was to spend some time with them talking. The elderly population have some really interesting stories about growing up in their times and I always liked to hear about that. The best thing was seeing a smile on their face when they knew I was there. So yes I hope that I'm respectful. I try to be in all areas of life.

I think I am very respectful to others in any ocasion. Now I can be disrespectful also if someone is not respectful towards me!

REspect is very important to one person because without it,then i don't know.:-0 I can say that I am respecful if the person I am dealing is respecting me..:-0 And yeah one thing,It's really a good thing to respect the elder person because If you didn't then it will be back to you double disrespect..:-0 God bless and have a nice day

I would say I'm a respectful peson......usually, the only exception is that I am really in a bad mood or I'm very tired coz I always let my emotions control my mind. I have been practicing to control myself even when I am angrt or upset but I think I still need to pay some hard-work on it=[

Hmmm that's very hard question for an individual like me to answer....but I can say we us Filipinos have the custom and habit of giving respect to others specially to elders. As a proof to this we been so very close to our parents even though we have our own families as a respect to them. And for i truly believe as what you have said if you respect someone, respect will come back to you.

Hi Mimipi, I think to be respectful to others is very important and all my life I have tried to be even if no respect has been shown to me back, as I won't stoop to others levels but live by my own morals. What you give out you get back in life so I always try to treat others how I wish to be treated. I am a very loving caring person on the whole but admit that I do have my moments when I am not too nice either as we all as humans have off days eh! Huggles. Ellie :D

i say honestly i am very respectful, but i can be disrespectful as the next person if they give me a reason. 99% of the time i am very respectful..

hi dear respect plays a role in our everyday life.when we go to a restaurent there is a respect,in family reunion ther is respect.you may notice it ,it is only because they were respectfull to you.if u give respest to others then you will get respect.respect will do a lot of things that help as in the futre.so be respectfull to everybody, thanks

Well, I always say thank you to people who hold lifts open for me, or the people who serve me food, etc. So I think I am respectful?
