7 Asian "Delicacies" You Probably Couldn't Stomach...

Birds nest soup is actually quite good. But for the rest, I have no clue. I've heard of monkey brains before, and that some people in China eat the brains while the monkeys are still alive. They slice up the monkey's head (while it's still alive and breathing and conscious of what's happening) and people just scoop out the brains. Ouch ouch ouch, that should hurt so damn much and I can't understand why anyone would enjoy that. But then again, we belong to different cultures and in some parts of the world, that is actually considered the norm.. Oh by the way, the weirdest I've eaten was a gelatinous-like food with edible worms inside. It was so gross but my relatives were so excited for me to try it coz it was a delicacy in their place. So I did, and it didn't taste weird but the thought of eating worms is just beyond me.. And I will never try it again, I just hope I won't have to..

I've never tried any of these, nor would I want to. The weirdest thing I have eaten would have to be tripe. If you don't know what it is, don't ask as it may just gross you out! LOL My mom used to make it for me when I was growing up, but once my husband told me what it was I just haven't been able to 'stomach' it since. I was ok till I got to the monkey brains.. ewwwwwwwww... Now that one...oh I"m at a loss for words.. Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe it. The rest, I might be able to handle...maybe.......
