When did you start using the internet?

When exactly of how long back did you start using the internet?What age were you back then? What was your first experience of the internet? (General Surfing? Playing on online game? ebay? Chatting?)
I first started using the Internet when i was 14 years old. back then i used to just use it for email purpose and nothing else that too i used to hardly check my e-mails. At that time i knew to do only that as i was a total noob.
But then soon as i'm a quick learner i starting learning to do different things on the Internet

Oh goodness! I started interacting with others, using a computer, about 20 years ago, back in the days of Bulletin Board Systems, or BBS's. I'd chat or message with the sysop (systems operator) or other members, play games, and share files. One sysop had all his members together at his home, one time, for a big picnic. It was so much fun! (If anyone's interested in learning more, about the old BBS's, there's a Wiki about it here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletin_board_system )I've been getting online, off and on, ever since. After BBS's, we moved on to Compuserve.

I still remember like it was last year. It was back in July of 1998 when I received my first computer. And I got it for my birthday. I sometimes get the time mixed up because I used to think it was Christmas when I got one, but my friend got one at Christmas, not me. And I was 12 and my friend was 10. We discovered the whole chatting thing pretty quickly. But mostly we were using the computer for games, lol.

The first time that I used the internet was when I was 12 years old I am now 26 and when I first used it, I remember my dad came home with a computer and he had set up the internet and all. Then my brother and I were checking out the internet and he told us how to use it. So, my first experience in using the internet would be chatting and emailing.
