No. Wow good laptop indeed, although I don't trust dell that much. Heehee.
But then it depends to you, if you want mobility then the laptop is your thing. If your doing things just in the house then a powerful desktop is your thing. I suggest...I really can't, it's up to you. But if it's me, even if the desktop is not electricity-friendly, I'll go with it. Mobility is not just the thing for me, I'd rather do other things than use the computer when I'm not in the house.

if you need mobility for your work/study just buy a cheap laptop :) having a laptop the percentage of its getting damage/broken down are much higher than a desktop, the battery power of a laptop are still bad if you use alot of programs/software the supposed battery that could last 2-3hours will last probably 30 minutes :)

if your aimming for gaming laptops , i recommend bette graphic cards- 256 mb( cheap) or 512mb either radeeon or gforce. you should try asking for the computer details. how much ram. hard drive. hz in processor. graphic card. sound ( opt ) etc.

That is a good laptop man and is doing quite well. It has a good graphics card and uses a 7 series Intel chipset if I am not wrong.
I have a Sony CR-363B model which has a similar configuration with a different graphics card, screen size and 8 series chipset.
While buying a laptop you should always pay extra attention to your requirements etc.
Like someone said above the laptop is decent for gaming.
If your laptop will not be mobile, I feel you should go for a desktop with a quad processor instead. Also for gaming I would prefer a desktop anyday.
