Hello everyone! I really want to get a digital camera, and I've found a couple I like on the internet. But I want to get some stuff figured out before I buy them. So I have a couple questions for you... Are all digital camera's computer compatible? And what are the ways I can get my pictures from the camera to my computer? Is there a cord...and do all memory cards for cameras fit somewhere into a computer slot? Anything else you can tell me is appreciated! Thanks

Avoid ebay, first of all. I bought one there and the "lady" was terrible. She blamed my computer when the thing wasn't compatible with the OS she had listed. ugh! I recommend Kodak for your first. It is generally compatible with all systems Mac and PC and all OS. Hope that helps.

Olympus are pretty handy and good cameras. If you want a basic digital camera I would recommend that one. Every digital cameras are computer compatible. You can get your pics from the camera to your computer by using a cord, or just putting the memory card directly into a slot in your computer. If you dont have a slot like this you can buy a USB adapter. But no need to do that if you use cord to transfer the pictures.

Sadly Olympus have their own memory card which no computer has a slot for; also, some of the Olympus models have built-in memory (not much, but enough for about 10 photos). You can only get pictures stored on the internal memory into your computer ia a cable, which also works for the card; since all digital cameras come with the appropriate cable to connect to a USB port, that is not a big problem. in the case of the cards, card readers which will handle Olympus cards (along with all other types) start out at about $30. The readers built into computers take CD and MMC cards, Many printers accept a larger variety of cards. Olympus are not the only cameras you should consider, by the way.
