I am writing this to warn others of the scam that Skype and PayPal have going on together!I enrolled in the 1 year Global membership in Skype through PayPal because my Chinese fiance who is here now wanted to be able to call her family in China from her cellphone.
This is how the service is advertised and and Skype says that you can cancel your membership at any time.
Paypal also advertises a policy that if something you buy is not as it is represented that they will refund your moeny.
Essentially after you've subscribed to Skype you find that China and about seven other countries which they say you can call to are on a black list which you can not call from your cell phone.
But this was the only reason I needed their service.
When I tried to cancel they told me my subscription was cancled after the one year that I payed for was up! That is not a cancelation because they are keeping my money and I have no use for their service because of their fraudulent misrepresentation.
I appealed to PayPay for my money back and they basically told me that because this was a service and not merchandise that I am out of luck!So the only satisfaction that I will ever get for my $100 is warning others about both companies fraudulent and unscrupulous business practices! So please beware my friends and stay away from these companies!
