I was always a good student. All my school life, I had good grades. I only had a red mark in my report card once. I always pay attention to the lectures of my instructors. And though I dont constantly study, I was a constant honor student back in my Elementary and High School Years. And I also graduated with flying colors in college. I want to make my parents happy that's why I do my best to perform well in school. I dont want all the hard work of my parents to send me to school just to go to waste.
How bout you? Did/Do you do good in school?

I was a good student as far as behaving is concerned. I tried to pass all the subjects in class. But I could not say I excelled. I really did not put extra effort especially in college. Peer pressure made me skip classes and not concentrate in studying. I now realize the mistakes that I have made. Although I am able to get a good job. Job hunting could have been faster and easier if you have good scholastic records. Cheers

I was always an A/B student. I was not excellent, just good. If a subject did not interest me, I put in only enough effort to pass.
If I loved a subject, like English and the Arts, I excelled.
Don't do anything JUST to make someone else happy. Do it ONLY for you.
I want my children to be productive and happy but it has to be because they really want it, not just for me.

I'm very proud to say that I have always been a good student. I never got into any disciplinary problems, I made friends, teachers liked me, and I got good grades. I don't really know what drives me but somehow it has to be pleasing my parents. They never pressured me to get good grades nor did they punish me when I did poorly, but I just wanted to be a good girl and make them proud. So I did. WHen I was older, I studies well to make myself proud. In a way, I knew I was still doing it for my parents but at the same time I was doing it for myself as well. I figured that since I didn't excel in sports, then I ought to excel in my academics.

Hi
When i was in grade school and middle school , my study is good and my position in the class was always the first three.but when I went to town and study in the high school,I got the coryza whe the grade two.that was a real terrible experience, i can not forget it forever.i studied from 7AM to 11PM during the last year of my high school.at last I entered the university and my parents are pround of me.
Now . I am working , but sometimes , i miss my school life, that is so nice.

I was inconsistent. there were moments in my school life when i really really paid attention to my grades as well as my behavior in school. but there were also moments when studies was my last priority, err, not my priority at all. but then i never had any failing grade during my elementary and high school life, maybe because i am born inteliigent. lol.
now that im in college, i try to be the best that i can be. i get all the knowledge, make many public relations, and join almost all the extra curricular activites that i could. so far so good. i must say that credentials really will bring you places.

Of course yes, I always do good in school. I don't want to get high grades but I want to perform well in the school. It is in fact the most important thing to do while you have no good work yet to mind. It simple means you do good in school and the future will lead you to what you want.

During grade school (elementary, i mean) I have always excelled at English and Science and into high school that never changed. In second grade I remember having my english teacher getting so excited about my stories and I just always thought she was goofy but she once showed me young authors who wrote their own books and that has always stuck with me.
I remember struggling SO MUCH with Mathethematics, even in first grade. It was not a great experience because my teacher he got annoyed with me asking him to explain a problem and it felt awful when everyone in the class seemed to get it, but maybe they just knew better as one day he threatened to cut my fingers off with a pair of scissor he put up to my hand, still do not know what in the world brought that on. Into high school I struggled at math until I reached Algebra and I dont know why I understood it, maybe the letters, heck i dont know but for once I enjoyed it.
Chemistry was a science that I struggled with because it involved math and I remember my high school teacher, she was a mouthy one, telling me if I dont get the math then I dont need to be there and I was a waste of her time, phew and here I wanted to learn it! I ended up switching to a different science, I have studied ecology, biology, and animal science and never Physics (which really intriques me today) so I consider myself fortunate to even having had these available to me in the schools I attended.
I was never in honor classes but my what the schools called "college prep" classes which were between regular and honor classes I guess. My best years were when I went to school in Litchfield, CT (a well-to-do school) and I did excel much more there than any school I have attended (I attended many since my parents divorced). I also grew up excelling at art but at least in the schools I attended ART was not seen as even a class but just a class for fun I guess unless that was what you were good at but its not something I ever talked about. I was also in band from fourth grade all the way into highschool so I guess thats an achievement but all my siblings played an instrument so it was just normal to me.
I think I did good at school given the experiences I was dealing with because the divorce of your parents it so tough and changes the dynamics completely but I was able to pull through and graduate even though I did not make honors.

I did really well. Well other than a gap in the 7th grade. But after that, solid. I took all the honors classes I could in high school, and only got 3 B's over the four years I was there. Then in college, I excelled, getting honors every term, and finishing with two degrees, and a minor. Now I am hoping to continue that success as I work towards my PhD!

You know I never did well in school. I failed most of my classes. I did do well in music. and my attendance was pretty good, I just sucked at school. I learned almost everything taught to me. but i really hated school work. I just slept most of the time. Just so you know the outcome wasn't that good. I ended up homeless, jobless for a couple years.(4) Then I met my wife. I got a job helping the homeless since I knew so much about homelessness. And now I have a lovely home a two beautiful children. Soon I will be going to college to study Social Services. My life experience shaped my future so I'll know what I'll be doing the rest of my life. Now I'm happy financially and emotionally.
Good luck.

my school life is rather weird...when i first went to a mainstream school, it depended on my internal locus control, if I Really want to excel, I'd work my head off. but when I was in elementary I was always the dumbest in the beginning, so i worked hard, and then became the smartest.I got awards, and then skip a grade too. ( at age 12 I couldn't read and write, and speak properly). When I changed schools, that was a disaster, but now I am a freshman, hoping to make another success.
Overall, my behavior was the best.

Hello tidgea,
Congratulations for making your parents proud. I think you are born with a great mind and a great attitude to excel in what you do. I am just an average who did just fine in school. I have a few failing marks in college and unluckily one subject has lots of pre-requisite for the next semester and this delay me a year to graduate. I almost struggle in college that my mom told one of her friend that she don't know when will I graduate in college. Fortunately, I graduated a year later and at least my mom hardwork in sending me to school did pay off because after graduation I was able to find a job and help her in paying for the tuition of my younger sister and brother. But I think what make my parents prouder is when I passed the board exam, finally their sacrifice paid off and they can relax that their job is done. I think the important thing for parents is not the grade you get but your effort to finish your schooling and don't fall apart doing it. The high grades and awards are just bonus.
Regards.

Hi there tidgea!
I have always been a good student. I never got a failing grade since elementary. I got good grades from grade school to graduate school. I have been an academic scholar when I was in high school and when I was in college. I have always been an honor student and graduated from college with honors as well. I graduated my masters with flying colors too.

Yes, I would say so...
I have grades up from B up to A-, but I always get pressure from my parents cause my younger sister and brother have in all their subjects A+ and I'm just standing there like "hey, I'm still good!" jajaja
