As a sudent, do you talk with your friends when the teacher is teaching?

I used to blab all the time. Back then the teachers gave punishment assignments! I had to write "I will not talk in class" like 500 times!

I always listen to the professor's lecture since i don't want to miss important details that will be included on the day of examination.

When my instructor is talking, I do my best to keep myself quiet. I do not like it when other's are talking during class, and I know others would not like it when I talk during class.

Yes I do especially if the lesson is quite boring,Also I talk to my seatmate when I need to be clarified on some parts of the lesson. The teacher really doesn't like it when their students talk to each other especially if it's not related to the lesson. Of course it is really a sign of disrespect right? But of course sometimes it's healthy to have these talks because it sometimes makes the lesson easier.

when i was a student i was really doing it sometimes or most of the times. i can understand when i was a student too i use to feel like this its really difficult to be quite for a long time and atleast once i use to speak to my friends and also they did and hence i think its obvious that allmost all of the students really feel like doing this or actually do it. really student life is such a nice time and i really miss it. all the mistakes, all the fun its really strange when i think it over. but i really miss my student life.

There were three things what i have to do in every class. 1sleeping(maybe I would find lots of saliva on my book,when I woke up ) 2taling about nothing to do with lesson 3joke wiht my classemate who next me. I really don't know is that i ignore my teacher ,or my teacher never care about me?

I always like to be attentive in class eventhough sometimes i really fail to listen the class i actually dont feel like talking during the class hour if at all no one is taking class .. i usually seem to be taking running notes as and when our teachers teach us and i would feel so irritated when people speak in middle of the class even if they speak softly i get irritated but now a days in our classrooms they has built a dias so that teacher would stand on it and be visible for all the students and can find out the black sheep who is disturbing all the other students

When i studied in elementary school,junior middle school and senior middle school,i listen carefully.I don't talk with my friends when the teacher is teaching.but now i sometimes do that after i enter into university.If the class is bored.i will not read books or talk,but not loudly.I know it is not good,but it is really hard for me to pay my all ateention to listen.

While the professor is discussing, I dont dare talk with my friends. I would love to listen to lessons and I am afraid that the professor gets offended. Some professors think that it's being rude for a student to talk while he/she is talking. I do talk with my friends when the professor is not discussing, like when she goes out, she's just talking (joking) with us, or she's reading. But I make sure we're not heard. But if I have to tell something important to my seatmate, we talk by exchanging letters. That's safer..

Depends, I mean, I try to pay attention to the teacher if I'm interested in the subject... I ocasionally turn around to tell one of my classmates funny things about the teacher when he/she says something that I could use to make a joke, jajaja

i think i have two answers the purpose of talking is not just one some students talk just for relaxing or joking,the other students talk for study.in middle school and high school,i just talked with my friends for studying,you maybe ask:why must you talk with your friends when the teacher is teaching,why not doing it after class,you know ,it is impossible that you can understand the teacher`s all knowledge,so you have to talk about it with your friends at once,if you do it after class,i think you will lose that inspire ,now i am in college ,because college is far cry from high school,it is more freedom,i am feeling shame that i always talking with my friends for joking,i think i shouldn`t do it anymore,i should study hard.

When I was in high school, my friends and I don't talk during class.. We pass notes instead which are inside a notebook. :) Now in college, I don't talk to my seat mates. I do only if I need to know something. I secretly use my phone though when I am bored. XD

Yes, I talk when the teacher is teaching. I even sleep secretly in the class when I get bored by his/her classes. It surely depend the teacher who is boring. It's making me dull.

for me it really depends on what class im in, if im in Math which is really boring for me then i will talk to whoever is next to me while the teacher is teaching but it really depends on what there teaching, if its something fun then i will pay attention and only talk to my friends if they need help or didnt get what the teacher had said.

When I was in highschool I really want to talk to my bestfriend who is my seatmate that time,we will talk about our projects etc. while my teacher is teaching infront of us,I know Its rude. But It also depends on the teacher,I like the teachers who have a sense of humor I think that Is the best way to gfet the attention of the class.Enjoy.

I wouldn't - I was always so worried about being ticked off by the teachers. I didn't like to be brought to anyone's attention; so I would keep quiet. If the class was interesting, I wouldn't want to miss anything. And if the class was boring, then I'd daydream or scribble in my books!

It often happened when i was student,i was very careful i wasn't discover by teacher.Lots of people have some experence,it's very funny when we remember that time.

Hi dear, It happens many times in my class. we talk to our friends when the teacher is busy in some other work. I don't think that it is a bad practice. After all it is very difficult to keep quite for a long time. If we do not talk with others we may start feeling sleepy. Also talking to your class mates makes you active and attentive in the class. hi there. when i was a student, i like to listen to the teacher if the discussion is not boring. but if it is the other way around, then i would probably sleep or talk. but if the teacher is strict, i just keep my eyes open just for the sake of opening it. lol. heheh
