Okay I cheat big time when it comes to peach cobbler. If you do this it will taste just like the stuff you would get at a good diner. I go to the store and buy a peach pie. Then I break it up and mix it into a cassorole dish and warm it (covered) at 350 degrees until it is warm in the center. I got the tip when I worked in a bakery from one of the bakers who told me how to revive the day old stuff.

...There are several web sites you can search for recipes at. I use www.ArcaMax.com and www.Eatingwell.com. ...My sister-in-law gave me a really good and really old recipe for cobbler. She calls it Cowboy Cobbler. It can be made in a cast iron pan over an open fire. ...In a 2 quart baking deep dish, melt 1 stick of butter in oven at 350 degrees F. In a bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon bakiing powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup of liquid from canned fruit (you can use peaches, pears, fruit cocktail, etc...) Add milk to liquid if there is not enough to make 1 cup. Mix this into the melted butter. Layer the fruit on top and bake 1 hour or until a knife comes out clean. ...You can even make a low fat version by removing the butter and using half cup of applesauce in its place. I make this for my family using whole wheat or buckwheat flour. It turns out really good! My guests can never tell it is fat free. ...Enjoy. Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

The easiest way is to make an "impossible crust." There's a recipe here: http://patveretto.com/blog/extremelyfrugal.html

I have never made peach cobbler but sure love to eat it. I have not had in a while, sounds really good. My husband does alot of the cooking and has gotten some awesome recipes off the Food Network website so you might try there. Good luck finding a good recipe.

I have never made it, but it sounds like something I'd really like. I guess I'll have to find a recipe and make it soon.

Hi, If you pruchase a box of Biscuick, I believe they have a simple recipe on the box. But, check when you go to the grocery store to make sure. It has been some time since I purchaced it. If he likes a more cake-like version, buy a yellow cake mix. Mix it up as directed, but subract one egg and add an additional 1/4 cup oil. The batter may be a bit thicker than you might expect, if it is, just spread it into a greased 9X13 pan. Then drop the peaches into the batter, evenly. After draining the juice from the peach can, of course. You also, can use the drained juice from the peach can to suppliment the water required in the batter for a peachy cake taste. Also you can use this recipe with any canned pie filling, like cherry or apple. Yum. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream while it's still warm.
