When do you first time use cellphones?

I got my first cell phone at the age of 20 years. Till that time i used to manage comfortably without a cell phone. However now if you take my cell phone away from me I can't do without it. Its when you don't have it you don't miss it but once you have it you cannot do without it.

I got my first cell phone 7 years ago when I was 34 years old. My car had broken down on the freeway on the way to pick up my husband from the airport. It was almost midnight and in a very bad area of town. We had just moved to the area from out of state and I did not know the area at all. I got out of my car and started walking towards the airport. A good samiritan stopped and gave me a ride to the airport. When I got there my husband said that was it and that I was getting a cell phone - so I would have it for emergencies. I always have my cell phone with me now, and I use it for all my calling needs. And the rest is history. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I can't remember what age I was when I first started using a cellphone. I know I was young when I first started using one. I don't really use my cellphone every single day. I do use it sometimes though.

Hi winzpc, dont worry about you being to late for using a cellpone, I used it when I'm at college, means I'm 20 at that time :D but technology sure grow fast these day cheers :)

I was 38 when I got my first cell phone. The only reason I got that one was so my son could get a hold of me at work. As they didn't answer the phones on 2nd shift. And the baby sitter left him one night. So got the phone. He got a hold of me after that.

when i admitted to my first college...in 1st year i get my first cellphone....

Hello, I got mobile at my age of 20.just 3 years ago i took a mobile for my parents.

as far as i could remember, i started using cell phone when i was 18 too.. my purpose was and is mainly for communication.. and i am hoping of a phone that would take pictures too.. listening to music as well. but mainly, for communication

I have the first call later than you.when i enter my university at 20years old.With the quickening pace of technological and economic development,cellphone is becoming more and more important.When i young,i only be in school and home,so it is not necessary to have cellphone.but now we can live and work well without cellphone.In our city,the pupil also have cellphone.but i don't think it is a good phenomena.As you say,cellphones have many functions.playing music,being on internet,watching movie and so on.It is like small computer.Many small child will wallow.

i first used it in my adult years. i didnt really need a cell phone much. i have an answer machine, and i let it get my messages and i returned it whenever i felt like it. but i use cell phone for emergencies mainly, not on a daily basis.

yes technology is truly changing our world! i actually used a cell phone when i was 14! i actually had to beg my parents but it was mainly for the communication between friends and if they could pick me up from school!

I had my first cellphone 11 years ago and then from then i never out from it.Everytime i like one i gave my old one to my daughter and buy another one.But now,i don't think i need to change so often.Its not of great use to me.I just had it for my daughter and hubby's communication everytime we are away from each other but mostly we all go out together.Thats why for me i just have it for them and sometimes i need to give an important call to my friends and relatives.

I first used a phone when I was 11 years old. It was a Nokia 3210. :) I was in fourth grade then. My brother learned to send sms when he was around 7 or 8 years old. :) My sisters started using phones when they were in grade school too.

When i was 15 years old i had got my 1st cell phone though my dad got it for the second hand i had one for me.. actually till then nobody has used any mobiles in my home i was the first to use it .. my dad got me because i had to goto a class where i can return to home very late at 9.15 pm something so to keep my parents informed that im safe he got me a cell phone.. then as soon i completed my 12th grade i got another one which i dint like the model so very soon in few months i changed another cell phone.. which i dropped it in water and had to buy a cell phone which had all the features which you have mentioned .. yes im still using the same phone and decided to change shortly to the latest model

I got my first cell phone over 12 years ago. I needed it for emergencies and to check if anyone needed anything before I went back home while I was out in town. I live 12 from town one way and the other town is 17 miles from me. So, having the phone saved us time and extra miles on the car if we forgot to add something to the list for home. Also, I'm disabled and if I break down I can not walk to get help. This was initially the reason I got the phone. It comes in handy many times. My husband now has one and we can keep in touch without all of the long distance bills.

the first time I owned and used a cellphone is when I am in high school, around 16 years old. It was quite funny to think now, because around that time in our country, cellphones weren't that high tech unlike cellphones that we have right now. The first cellphone that I have is Nokia 3310. It was really behind and low tech compared to cellphones now, that sometimes, it was hard to think that how I get by with it It was pretty interesting as well to see the developments of cellphones, from two liner to 3g phones and enhanced camera specs. Anyway, my parents bought me cellphone for me to have a means of communication with them in case of emergency.

my son & daughter-in-law gave me one for christmas a few years back. i am now 65 & probably still wouldn't have had one if they hadn't given it to me.

I did not get a cell phone untill about 10 years ago .. before that all I used was my beeper .. which I miss alot LOL .. I can be without my cell phone I have left it home plenty of times becouse I did not want to be bothered when I was out .. Just my 2 cents Hugs me

i started using my first cellphone when i was in elementary about 8 years ago. it was a blue motorola phone. it's really cute. in fact, i still have it until now but sad to say it's not functioning like it used to. lol. just for display.
