A friend told me about Google's new browser called Chrome this afternoon. I've already tried it out and like it. I have it on all of my computers except for one and that's only because I haven't been using it yet. It seems to be very fast and is supposedly better to use in many ways. More secure, and you can't crash the whole thing (just a tab would crash, but not all the others). It seems really cool and myLot looks better in it than it did in Firefox oddly enough! I really love a few of the Firefox plugins though like Foxmarks, AdBlockPlus, and of course the google toolbar. What's interesting is that the google browser doesn't even have a built in google toolbar so you don't instantly get any bookmarks that you would have saved there. For the most part though I love it and expect it to dominate the market by next year. Has anyone else tried it yet? What do you think? If you don't have it yet, but are interested in trying it out you can download it at http://www.google.com/chrome

You really should try it out. I've been using it nonstop since I downloaded it yesterday and I really enjoy it. I haven't had any problems with it so far and am enjoying the clean simplicity of the interface.

I've been reading about it and it seems good. Nice to see first hand reports from someone who has used it. I love an add-on in FF called noscript - does chrome have any equivalent to that?

Chrome doesn't have plugins yet, but it is in the works. I don't know if you use xmarks or not. It's a great plugin for sharing your bookmarks across different systems, I use it with Firefox. Anyways very similar functionality will be built into Chrome 4. I think the current stable release is 2.0 something. I'm not sure how long it will take before they get to 4.0.
