cellphone..cellphone..cellphone
is it a need to have a good model of cellphone?
you see.,
the primary use of cellphone..is for communication..
a cellphone good for call and text is just okay with me..
though my cellphone is quite the new models of ericsson,,
i really don't care if my cellphone is not coloured..
what is important is the use of it..
because nowadays.. cellphone is the primary target of "hold-upers", the bad guys getting things in the use of death threats,..
good models of cellphone may be your death cause.. plus it is expensive.. so having it lost would be so regretting..
so.. what do you think??

I'm with you on this... so long as I can receive/make calls/texts thats fine for me. Even if I had the money for one with all the 'bells and whistles' I wouldn't bother. I suppose people have their phones for different reasons. I have mine to keep in touch with my sons and to make emeergency calls so need no more than a basic model.

oh..
yeah, you're right.,
it's like..focus more on the needs of your sons.. instead of buying a super expensive phone that may lead you to a hospital..or even in a cemetery ., that will be the case, if you live here in the philippines.., but not all the places.. only chosen places.. =)

yeah, I have the same thinking like you too but I guess basically people get a fancy handphone to show off to friends. Or maybe they are into the functions. I think everyone has their likes or dislikes. For me, I'm just too careless to not be worried that I might misplace my handphone or left it in a public place so I have a moderate handphone.

Good cell phone model is good but isn't really necessary, at least for me, what really important for a cellphone is the function, since I need information and connected, what I need from a cell phone is the basic function (phone, text messaging), and internet connection like GPRS, thats the most important things, if that's covered the rest of the function is optional, like camera, and multimedia :)
well thats me, different person may have different interest
cheers :)

Hi there!
Before I used to think that I've got to have what's in or the newest model of cellphones. I had a lot actually but it turns out that I don't really get to use of the features other than text, call and the camera. I don't even take pictures alot.
We should really consider our needs why we want to buy a cellphone in order to get the right one that we really can use the features. If just plain communication then simple models I think is just fine. They're much cheaper too.
Ciao!

For me models of cellphones are not that important, as long as you have the means of communicating to others that's fine with me... And nowadays its not applicable for us to bring latest models and expensive cellphones outside because it might be the cause of accidents... Im happy of my phone right know... hehehe

I believe that a cellphone is meant for communication. So the basic model should suffice. Till the time that I am able to make and receive calls/send and receive messages the purpose gets resolved. The higher end models of mobile become a pain as they demand for more care and proper handling and also attracts unwanted attention of the goons :-)

i have the same thinking like you... for me, the primary purpose of a cell phone is to make and receive phonecalls and to send and receive sms... as long as those needs are fulfilled, i am happy... i don't need a sophisticated phone as when i lost it or get stolen, i will feel very upset... take care and have a nice day...

Yes Strif! It's not necessary to have good model of cellphone, because most people buy the latest brand only to be known out of curiousity! For me, I can call and text and receive also call and text, that's not the problem even your cellphone is not a latest model! Another fact is that if should be user friendly as well as durable by performance in all respect!
Thanks for this nice posting!

You are absolutely right that hold uppers are just waiting people to get new models of cell phones so that they can steal them. I use simple colored Nokia cell phone without camera. Its a new cell phone and I have no problem in calling, hearing to my calls, sending and receiving text messages. All the functions are working good and no complain from me so far. People give invitation to robbers that come and stick them up with knife or pistols.

It depends on your needs. If your cellphone is doing a multi-tasks for you - i mean you use it for communication, business, etc then I think it is better to have a really, really good model of cellphone. But if you will only use it to communicate then a good one, even the oldest model, will be fine.

I have this lesson when my cellphone is stolen, it has nice curve, its colored, and its latest - but the hungry thieves will stolen it away from you. It takes months to have it because I have an investment on it and suddenly it will gone away. If I have to buy another cellphone I would chose the oldest cellphone, because cellphones are primary for calling and sms only. If you want to buy a sleek cellphone, don't use it in public.

Free upgrades are great, but sometimes you get tied into a longer contracts so its difficult! I dont think the top model mobiles are necessary at all! Im happy with a phone that has a decent camera just incase the mood takes you when you are out, text messaging and calls. What more do you need really? Oh, and I like them to look pretty!!! :)
