are you close with your mom?

I didn't used to be close to my mother either. We have grown closer as I've got older. Now we have coffee together at least twice a week. On the days when we have coffee she always stays long enough to watch our favorite soap together, The Young and the Restless. It's nice bonding time for us.

I love my Mom with all my heart, and I really don't know what I'd do without her. We may live far apart but we talk almost daily whether it be through telephone or on Yahoo Messenger. I have come to learn that my mother's tough love antics when I was younger were actually very much for my own good. She let me learn from my own mistakes.. and boy did I make a lot of them. She was a single mom raising two kids working full time and going to University three nights a week, but she was always there for us when we needed her. In return as a teen and into my early twenties I hurt my mother pretty badly with some bad life choices and in the end it was Mom once again to the rescue and she helped me pull my life together. She is not only my role model but she's my best friend and mentor as well. Love you Mom!

i am really very close to my mom. my mom is also a friend of mine and i i share everything with her. i really miss her as i am staying away from her. its not not that i miss my mom only now but from the time i got married i really miss my mom and i use to cakk her up daily atleast twice a day after i got married but now i am in germany and i miss her even more and my mom really misses me but more than me she miss my small little son a lot. yes like even i use to fight with my mom sometimes, our taste is entirely opposite but then too its all just a tiny thing front of my moms love. and i really understand now how our parents had faced difficulties to bring us up as now i do it for my son and i can understand the situation of parents.

My mom is my BEST FRIEND and always has been! After my daughter she means more to me than anyone! :) I thank God daily for her; without her I'd be lost!

If a mom is close to the kid . the is also close to mom.as the kid growup and hehas anyachievement in life he first want to tell his mother and try to share the happihess only to his mom .my son has won 2nd price in paper reading contest . when he heard his declaration he immeditaly ringed me . i congulate him . he was very happy and told me that 'mom first all i have ringed u' i also feel proud of him this is the feeling of love and closenees.

I too was not very close when I was younger. When I was a teenager we did not really fight or anything but we were not really close either. I think that we just had differnt interests at the time and when you are a teen you are wanting to find yourself on your own. It is nothing the parents are doing wrong or anything you are just wanting some independence. Thankfully my mother gave me the space to become my own person but was also there anytime I needed her. Now she is one of my best friends and we spend serval days per week together. I hope that when my girls are older that we will be able to be close like my and my mother are now. I know the road to getting there will not always be smooth but it will be worth the ride.

Im only 22 but my mom and i used to be close until she started dating this guy and now that she lives with him me and her are like oil and vinager we dont mix she dont have much to say to me and i just dont say much to her we kinda go our different ways.
