I had a day full of problems several days ago. My computer suddenly became abnormally slow, IE browser is not working even my Firefox became quite slow. I checked it with my AV it did not detect any. Out of frustration I used the Yahoo Toolbar Antispyware and it did detect this Daksma Trojan which they said it was successfully removed. But after a while same thing happens again. It will show up when I begin detection process. So I decided to search the net about it and found www.geekstogo.com. I joined their forum and I told them my problem. They gave me instruction to download several software and post my results on the forum. And it took me about three days to really get rid of the malware. I am quite impressed with this site as they were able to remove the malware by using different techniques which I really do not know I just followed their instructions and posted all the log files that this software had produced. They do the analysis and recommended what to do. Basically they cleaned my registry too. I have many learning from this site and they indeed made an impressive work and its all for free. Now my PC runs quite normally already. I would definitely come back to this site once a new problem happens.

I just recently got hit with a virus. I noticed that windows kept popping open on their own and finally realized that I had a virus. I ran every program I could and it was still there. I finally just did a reformat and that fixed the problem. Since then it's been fine (knock on wood).

Although formatting is the best option but it could be devastating especially if you have many programs installed already they will be wiped out and eventually reinstalled back again. The site I recommended in here has helped me out without doing the formatting.

Good thing you have two PC at home. In my case we share in one and its really hard that we have to format it since we already have customized our computer the way we want it and a virus slipping in is just as devastating. but anywhow formatting is just the safest for now to really wiped them out of the system. AVs can stop them from entering but once it slipped through and launch itself AVs cannot just help already.

Luckly Hubby and I each have a pc so I just slide my files over to his and wipe mine clean. We have all the original discs to our programs so it's just a matter of putting them back on again. It's a hassle but it would be more of a hassle if the whole thing crashed. I haven't checked out the site you linked but I will...who knows it might help next time around.

So this is the reason why you seemed out of touch the last few day! Daksma Trojan invaded your computer! It's good you have found a good site that helped you clean up your computer again. I will take note of that so that if comfronted with same problem, I'd know what to do. Thanks for posting here! So I think you have double time now to make up for your absences! Go and have a productive day here! Cheers!

Oh you've noticed it!!!? Wow someone is watching over me in here. Thanks for the concern. yes I have to make double time coz I lost about almost a week of no post al all. Although my earnings did changed even though I had not posted anything. I earned best responses and I think that is the reason why my earnings did go up.
In relation to your situation try that site my PC was able to recover and I didn't rely on reinstalling OS again.

Well it really depends on how you described your situation. They are like doctors in there and they would prescribed different software to donwload. Most it is small ones and they are just to detect certain kinds malware. So if you suspect that you are there might as well try it. I had mine cleaned from Vundo infection. I never realized that these malwares really sticks on Registry and would remain in there unless they are not removed from there it will always load and when you're connected to the net it will download itself again and install itself without your resident AV noticing it. Now I don't have to reinstall my OS again as it has been working okay already.

Yes it will be of great help indeed. I accidentally discovered this site when I got into trouble. I was in doubt at first but when I read the post that they have many person go over their problems with their PC I gave it a shot and see what happens. to my surprise they were able to make the necessary correction and I am happy that they are able to save my programs as well as data. The only thing is that it took us about three days to really clean my system. On the 2nd day though my computer was already doing good and is restored back almost to my original config. They just made sure that there are no more in the registry that is why they keep on instructing me to send them a copy of my registry entries with them with the help of a small software.
