What's your opinion of the people who spit in public?

Hey sharie16, if I see someone spitting in public, most especially on the crowded streets where most people walk through, I thought that person who spitted has no manners and is very dirty if you know what I mean. Absolutely there's no doubt he/she has not been educated about caring for the air pollution. From spitting, it turns into dust, but the dust carries the microbe germs and in an instant, we inhale them through the air we breathe.

There's no way the police could seriously enforce a law like that...Sometimes people just need to spit,what if a bug flew in your mouth. I agree with you in a way seeing people spit in public dose'nt really bother me,though it dosen't make me happy either. As long as it's not on me or around a food area or something like that..who am I to tell people where they should spit. I don't spit in public unless I absoulty have to but thats just me I think it's kinda disrespectful

They have to be cornered and injected with something that stop salivation for a week.That will teach them a lesson.

I agree with you it is just plain nasty. I personally do not spit unless I am at home and sick you know coughing up those nasty things. Otherwise I do not see really a time to be spitting. But no one wants to see that on our sidewalks and stuff.

Ya as you said its just nasty. I just saw this incident. I was standing near to one bus. One man from the bus spitted down without seeing a girl coming. He spitted on her. I just can't imagine a situation like that to me. Don't they have any sense actually. I just get irritated to see such persons. Its our neighborhood. We have to maintain it neatly right???

Now I'm really blushing..I have this awful dishabit to spit but I try not to spit on people lol;-) That it something good at least? Once you've started you can't stop..it's impossible!! But I think it is disgusting too but have a law about not spitting ?Nooo I want to spit it out!! haha

They are disgusting and deserve to get a ticket every time they do it. Gee I often wonder if they spit inside the place where they live.

I think the people who spit in public is disgusting. They should spit in proper place like the toilet or use tissue like that.

Yes, if it harms the risk of spitting on someone. But, if it is outside and aimed towards the ground, and away from another. Then it may be a different story..

hey sharie i totally agree with you. it is disgusting to see people spit in public places. after all it is the place where they live. it is each and every one's responsibility to keep our place clean. i think a law must be imposed and it should also be seen to that the law is implemented properly. i think it's nasty too. the government should impose a ban on spitting in public and on any improper place. it can spread diseases and it makes our environment look bad so all of us should stop doing it. i don't get why some people have to spit almost all the time. they make me see them as dogs. lol. ;-)

it is rude and improper to spit in public. it can make our surroundings dirty. it can also make the spitter look dirty. remember, what we do reflects the kind of person we are.

I absolutely agree with you that it is gross and would love if the governments start levying fines for people who do it. I think some governments like Singapore already levy a fine. I hope people learn to show manners in public. Cheers! Ram

i think it is a nasty habit. it is a habit that people get into. nobody needs to spit as much as they do.

They are destructors of nation and they kills the various beings by spreading diseases also because of spitting in public. Public is the place where not only for aged its also for the child from new born and even there are living in their last days... So i suggest people before spitting should think off about the people who are called as public. And in most of the countries they have been provided with various utility areas for the same. I suggest government should take appropriate actions and instead of making fine they should stick a label before their home for 3months stating the shame full act of people...

...well, i think its unethical to spit in front of other people.. as well as spitting outside the windows.. and on walls.. trashcan is always available for spitting spree for free.. but having a law for act of spitting, i think its not a so-so idea... instead try posting bills reminding every one not to spit on the walls etc..

to dispel any body fluid in public is not agreeable behavior. however in some cultures it is acceptable and also sometimes it is unavoidable. I think you have to look at the reasons behind the spitting and decide whether its cultural unavoidable or rude. the only course of action would be to teach peple to walk with tissues and if they need to spit for what ever reason they do it in the tisue then wrap it up and throw it in the waste. i guess its down to educating people on public behavior.
