Bananas are great. But don't go crazy and just gorge yourself on bananas (not that anyone would), because you don't want to OD on potassium.

I agree with banana. It also nourishes your body fast after a hard physical exercise.

This is an interesting discussion because I always thought apples were the healthiest. You know what they say "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." I didn't know that bananas would give energy so I will have to start eating more of them. As a matter of fact I think I will have to eat more fruit as I rarely eat it and I am sure it will do me all the good in the world. I must keep an eye on this post to find out what other fruits are most beneficial.

Yeah its proven for bananas. Especially people from the mountains. They get most of their energy by eating bananas. Though apples are also good for the heart and it cleanse out toxins in your body. So it has its own specialty.

I like apples. They have fiber and they are good for your teeth. The have a fairly long shelf life for a fruit. And they are easy to take anywhere

I like blueberries because they have lots of antioxidants. In studies on mice, mice who ate blueberries lived longer and had increased brain function.

We always have bananas. Since we export tons and tons of bananas everyday to any points in the world, us, here in the Philippines always have our bananas in the dining table. They say monkeys eat bananas, and so are we. But we're not monkeys anyway ahahahha. The way to a healthier and glowing skin is to eat right and never forget to eat banana. Why? Because monkeys eat bananas that give them the healthy pimple free face :D Bananas in my country are sweet. We have varieties of bananas. Cavendish, Cardava, Senorita, Purple Banana, La Catan, La Tondan, ...plenty!

I have heard that the acai berry is the healthiest fruit because it is filled with antioxidants. I haven't actually seen the berry in the stores though. I have seen acai juice. But, I haven't tried it yet. My favorite fruits are watermelon and strawberries. Actually, I love many different fruits. They are nature's candy!

I like berries they just taste good =D Oranges are good as well... I don't really like bananas I think I had way to many when I was a kid so the flavor kind of makes me sick. Apples are good to but I eat them in very small quantities. Mango's have to be my all time favorite... but I don't know how good they are for you lol! They taste like they are full of sugar hehe!

I would like to share something that you wouldnt have known as no one in your discussion had mentioned about this fruit. It's cherries!!!!! A glass of cherry juice is more useful than 25 portions of fruits and only one glass of fresh cherry juice can replace 25 portions of various vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables. 250 mililiters of cherry juice contain more extraordinary useful antioxidants, than 5 portions of peas, tomatoes, water-melons, carrots and bananas taken together.

I have heard recently that the apples really are as good as everybody thinks they are, especially ones with red skin. My husband swears that apples are the best fruit for you and we ALWAYS have them in the house. I have also heard that blueberries are extremely good for you. I know alot of fruit has a lot of sugar but natural sugar has got to be better than processed.

All fruits have some or the other speciality in terms of vitamins and minerals in them and the special characteristics for health. Vitamin-A can found in almost all fruits. All juicy fruits are rich in Vitamin-C. However i think, apple, banana, grapes, orange, watermelon etc are the ones which are readily available and on consumption satisfies the basic necessity of vitamins and minerals for your body....

It is essential to eat many different kinds of fruit. Bananas are a good food, no question, but in England we tend to eat so many that some people do not consider them to count as part of the "five a day", that is five portions of fruit and vegetables per day that is advisable for good health. Many people strive for seven portions of fruit, which can be difficult on a standard western diet.
