Do you like Bananas?

Bananas are one of my favourite fruits. I like them because they are easy to eat. All you have to do is peel and bite. Im not so keen on apples because they hurt my teeth when I bite them so I always have to cut them up which is not always covenient. Another thing which I like about bananas is that they pretty much always taste the same. Sometimes with apples, oranges, strawberries etc you end up with one that is sour but Ive never had a sour banana before. I also think bananas go really well with other food such as custard, on toast, in cake etc.

I lananas, as well as practically all other fruits. For many years, I missed them because they cased severe allergic reactions. Quite recently, my doctor was reviewing my chart, and ased which of my many allergies bother me mos. I told him that, while others are much more problematic, I do wish I could eat banans. ld my something I wish I'd known all trhese years, and now I happily eat a bnanana every day: I'm allergic to the skin, not the fruit! I peel it inside a pla bag, which I then tie shut to throw the skin away, so I won't hasve to he it or touch it. I wish I'd known this before, and I'm really glad I know now!

I used to hate them because of the mushy texture, but I loved the flavor. I eat them only when they are just ripening, with some green still around the edges so they are not too soft. Any more ripe than that and I can't stand them. I do like foods with banana in them though, like yogurt and banana bread.

I absolutely love bananas, but I don't buy them often anymore because they have gotten so expensive. I know in comparison to other items they don't actually cost that much, but there was a time when I would not buy them if they were more than $.25/lb....that rose to $.35/lb. Now bananas seem to be over the $.65/lb mark and it is hard for me to pay that much. Today I might have bought some, but for some reason, the store was completely out of them.
