i have heard of people building computers before and they say that its fun and they like doing it because they know exactly whats in there and they can build a great computer for just as much or cheaper than you would pay for one, and i have worked on computers before, like replacing parts and things like that and i thought it was fun because i like working on things like that and it really teaches me things, so i was just wondering if anyone thinks its going to be hard to build one or if anyone has ever tried to build one...i would like to thank you all for taking the time to read and review my discussion...i hope that you all had a great day and will have a great night and weekend, be safe and thanks again for taking the time to read and review my discussion!

it is not that much to build a computer it is very easy but once you know it will become more easy now the parts are coming more integrated you can easily be more and keep the hardware easily.

If you know what you r doing is pretty straight forward. You could damage some of the devices by being not carefull enough so take good care of every pieces. On the net you can find lot of tutorials on how to build your own computer. Good luck with it and keep straching your mind, take care...

Hello jhl. To those who love to study computers, I think that it is not difficult at all, but to one like me who knows little about computer, it is a different story. I don't think that I will ever be able to build a computer of my own and on my own so far as the computer knowledge is concerned. lol

The computer I have now is one I built myself two years ago. Once you learn about the components, what they do and where they go, building your own computer is fairly easy. How I started: 1. I chose the CPU that I wanted. An Intel Pentium 4, 3.20 GHz, 2. Then I chose the motherboard that was compatible with the CPU. ASUS P5. 3. Then I chose a case that fit the motherboard. Here was the first mistake I made: make sure the power supply's connector end matches the connection on the motherboard. 4. At this point, if you already have a computer, then some components may be useable. Items such as the keyboard, mouse, monitor, RAM, graphics card, sound card, ethernet card or modem. I purchased appropriate RAM and a graphics card. Then rest I salvaged from older computer. (although I did later replace the monitor) 5. Nest item is the hard drive. I utitlized the hard drive I already had, but in time, I replaced that also. Total cost was about $1200.00. They system I have is a Pentium 4 3.20 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM, 750 Gb hard drive, wireless keyboad and mouse. Finally, if you have a new hard drive, install your OS. (Windows XP or Vista or Linux). And that's it. The salesperson at the store where I purchased the items was helpful in pointing out what CPU, motherboard, case went together and was compatible, so be sure you go to a reputable store. Good luck

It's not hard at all. You just have to follow several guides, make the right purchases and you're on your way. If you like doing DIY projects, then building your own computer is a feat that anybody can do if they're interested enough. The best thing about building your own computer is the customization. You can make it look cool, or run fast, and your own style, etc.

It may seem like a difficult task to a beginner, but with some practice, building a computer can be very simple. There are many different parts to know, such as RAM, CPU, Motherboard, Video Card, Sound card, Networking card, etc. There are also categories you should know, such as RAM categories: Dimm, Simm, So-Dimm, DDR, etc. There are training programs, such as CISCO certification that you can take to fully understand computers, and even begin a career in tech support or a similar job category. I hope my response was helpful :)

It all depends on how customized you want your computer to be. I believe dell has a service where you can pick and choose exactly what hardware goes into your notebook/desktop. Luke

Its easy but you could also damage parts easily because of static. Ask around for tips on building one before starting.
