Thanksgiving used to be a special holiday. Now it is so overwhelmed by the commercialism of both Halloween and Christmas that it gets very little attention. It's sad, because it really is a much more legitimate holiday than Halloween is. Thanksgiving is celebrated for a reason which Halloween basically isn't.

Well, on Nov 23, fix turkey and dressing....And give thanks before you eat for friends, family.... and all you have been blessed for and who cares what the rest of the country does.

It is horrible how Thanksgiving gets practically skipped over. Some stores had Christmas stuff out before Halloween was even over! But I have not forgotten. My daughter is 4 this year & it is the first year that she really understands what holidays are about. I am trying to teach her about the stuff beyond just 'getting'. And Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to teach her about giving thanks for the things we do have.

Thanksgiving - Nice turkey.
Not me!!! I've been looking forward to it. Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holidays. They always do that. Something about after Halloween, everybody just jumps on to Christmas. I wonder, if they ever think about Thanksgiving at all?!!!
