I find country music to be....OK I guess.Back in the day, it was all about things that I didn't care too much for. But as you know, times have change and
country is getting much better. You might not see me blaring it out of my car or anything, but if I'm listening to a radio station and I hear a Underwood song, I wouldn't be disappointed because I know she makes good music.

I had my strongest opinions about music as a teenager. I HATED country music back then -- wouldn't give it the time of day. Now, I feel similar to you when it comes to country...I've definitely mellowed with age musically speaking. I bet my teenage self would hate my guts. That said, I also agree that country actually has gotten better in recent years.

I think that the older country music was all so sad and depressing. I love some of the new stuff that is comming out, because much of it is so funny. Songs like "Tequila makes her clothes fall off" or "Let's talk about me" are just so fun and light hearted. They are so much fun to sing along with and always make me smile no matter what kind of mood I'm in.
Course I have to disagree with Underwood. I don't like her songs at all. It's kind of wierd actually. With other music I listen to, like alternative, or whatever, I prefer mostly female singers. With country music though there is hardly any female singers I like. Maybe one or two and that's about it. Don't know what it is. It's not like their voices are bad or anything, but I seem to find most of the female country singers just...boring. There music and lyrics just don't grab me.
To each their own though.
