sabbatha Actually I'm huge fan of the short story. A well written story is a marvel in it's self. To try to bring depth and plot in such a short form takes true talent. I have a huge collection of anthologies. I collect them. They are the only books I won't trade off....

sabbatha I wanted to be an oceanographer for quite a bit, then a writer. I still want to write. Well I do write, just would like to get published some day. But even if I don't, as long as I continue to write, than I'm happy. Even if it's only for me.

sabbatha Yeah, that certainly doesn't make sense to me, especially since child support or back taxes can be taken out of a paycheck so why not lost equipment? And in the military if you get in trouble they can take half your paycheck. That isn't even for equipment...

Would you buy a reburbished or used laptop?

I know that one of the best things we can do for our pocketbook and the environment is to buy things used. Does this also apply to laptop computers? How would you go about finding a *good* used or reburbished laptop?

sabbatha I don't see a problem with it. Just find a company that guarentees them and maybe has some sort of warrenty on it. We just keeping buying the indivdual parts though to upgrade our computer and add it on ourselves. It's fairly cheap that way as well.

sabbatha Wouldn't matter here. It doesn't get that cold. When I lived in Maine though we lost power a couple of times in the winter, but not for very long. Hubby and I would cuddle together under just about every blanket we owned. lol
