do you have a lot of cousins?

My mum's side has 8 siblings while my dad has only three. Each averanging two-three kids. I can count if I wanted to, but too lazy at the moment. I'm wondering the same. Last time, they need their kids to help them in the fields or orchards or whatever they were involved in. Kids were seen as helpers, I guess. Kids were also seen as gifts from God, which wil bring in wealth. That's why they have so many kids, just my point of view.

Yes, I do have.. On both sides of my families.. It is a host of them..

I will be bringing these along when I visit you! Father side: my father has 13 siblings.. makes them 14 in all. not all of them have children (ok i'll count.. 5 minute after) 11 cousins I have in my father's side, the thing is, on my mother (that is the legal wife, oh yes kaye mano po series it is) we are 5, the next mistress, my father has 3, and the next he has 1, and I don't if someone's is on the way right now.. so all in all we are 20.. If you would take a picture of my grandmother's family, you have to take it from afar because we would not fit in the screen! oh I forgot, they have grand grand children from me and my sisters (5 boys ) Me and my family alone (including illegitimate siblings) we might not fit in a camera monitor. mother side: I have no idea! we are not so close with them, but wait.. (5 minutes again), oh only 8 cousins we have there, my mothers siblings is only two. so are you prepared for us? for their grand children here.. oh they already have 11, 5 from my mom, 2 from their older sister and 4 from their older brother See on the photo below, me and the cousins on my father side (take note, we are not yet complete that time)

Yes! a lot hehehehe.I have 27 from my mother side and i cant remember how many of them from my father side.I came also from a large family.I have a 6 auntie and 6 uncle's on my mother side,though on my father 4 tito and 1 tita.Yes i noticed that during those days most family are huge.I once asked my grandfather then,he told me that maybe because life then is not as difficult as of today and he told told me that married couple only at home their time only focus on their wife unlike today we have a lot of material things like tv,omputer,sometimes we dont have a time for our family because our time was occupied of all things.

I have lots of cousin from both side of the family, but i am closer to my cousin on my mother side. We all grow up together and we spend more time with each other compared on my father side. My father side of the family are very strict and they came from a rich family. So most of them are fun of things that are opposite of what interest me the most. Sometimes i hang out with them but it is not as fun as it is with my cousin on my mother side.

i only have 13 on the father's side and 8 on my mum's side. thats not alot compared to yours. but since most of them are kids, it felt like theyre too many of them :)

Hi kaye... Lol. I have so many cousins that I could probably make my own basketball teams several times around. My mom and her siblings alone are 12... most of my uncles and aunts have about four to ten kids each... Now if you count my uncle's and aunt's cousins as well.... wow. I think a whole village would do...

yes i do. my dad has 11 siblings and my mom has 7. almost each of them has 5 children or more.

Not too many but enough lol. My dads side I have more and I'm not really close to any of them and couldnt' tell you the names of my cousins kids but on my mothers side its a different story. We are growing more and more but I know everyone on her side.

Hello kayedanda , i am glad to respond your topic here again, my friend.I do have a lot of cousins in my huge families.My grandma and grandpa has 5 sons in total, and in my dad's generation, i have 7 brothers, and i have 6 sisters. so in total, i have 13 cousins.It is a very big family,I just count these ones in my dad side, not including my mother side, of course ,in her side, i have another 9 cousins in total. so fionally in two sides, i have 22 cousins in total.lol. is it huge? hehe good luck to you

yes. I have lot of cousins but not this much as you mentioned. From my moms side they are eight sisters and one brother all got married and their total childrens are only 15 cousins totals now all these cousins are geting married and have 6 childrens. some are still to get marry. I have two children. from my dads side there are so many i even dont know the exact number bcoz we are not so close. only one aunt is staying near she had 3 children my uncle (dad's big brother) have 4 daughter and all got married but we dont go to their place some incidents with my dad thats why not close, but staying in mumbai we too are in mumbai rest all relatives in kerala. We usually visit moms house and we are attaached with moms family.Happy posting and have a nice day .

I have a big family and lots of cousins from my relatives. Both sides, but sometimes i don't like my cousins attitude and behavior, becase when the time that you are very poor they just underestimated you, talk against you behind your back,and never give a help in time that we needed it. But when they see that we are higher than them now, they make us friends, But some of my cousins i do appreciate them they are so nice through thick and thin.And when we have a reunion wow looks like we can occupy a one barrangay!

I do. My both my mom and dad are a set of 10 siblings, and each of them have atleast two children, mostly three, so you can imagine! :O

no i do not have, from father's side there are about 10. i know its not too small, but not too large as well. from mothers side there are only 4 cousins.

i don't belong in a large family, well i wish i do!i dont have so many cousins an some of them are now n the u.s. i guess thats the reason why whenever they're here we always see to it that we're having fun..its ok for me not to have a lot of cousins, my cousins are enough..we are all close to each other.

Hi, my grandad had 11 children, so I really have no idea how many cousins I have, as they are scattered all over the world. I have an aunt in Canada, some uncles & aunts in China, and the rest are over here, but we don't live in the same state. However, this cannot compare to my husband's family. His grandad had 4 wives; and his dad also had 3 wives, so can you imagine the number of cousins he has!

My mom's side they are seven including her. my dad has three sisters. so my mom's side alone i have 12 cousins. my dad's side i have six cousins. it's during the holidays that we enjoy a lot. we all gather together in grandparents house and spend lot of time together. it's real fun to be together. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting.

I also have a huge family as to count I have 3 families that belong to. My father is an eligitimate child, and her mother marries somebody else not his father. So basically, in my father's mother side I have 6 aunts, 3 uncles both have a minimum of 4 children. My father's father side i also have 4 aunts and 3 uncles which also have 3 or more children, in my moms side they are 11 in the family and also have 2 to 5 children. Whew, we are a huge family, I can't just hardly remember the face of my cousins now that we have grown up.

i only have 25 cousins all in all. i guess some couples have so many children back in those days because there weren't too many expenses and they do not have to cope up with the rapid growth of technology that we're having today.
