other peoples perception of us at times doesn't match on who we really are. does people misconstrue the real you? or do they see you as you even at first meeting? most people that i am friends of now would think of me wrongly the first time we met. it could be of my ways and facial expression. how about you do they see you as you? or as someone else brought about by their own perception.

I always feel my family members see me as somebody else. My friends and strangers see the true me.

When I was a child, I enjoyed reading lots of books, make lots of dreams and fantasies. That made me a bit like a great dreamer, at least my family has always see me like that. But dreaming was just a hobby to me at that time. in fact, I was quite a disciplined kid, I knew what I should do and tried hard to do my things. I left hometown for university at 16, a bit earlier than normal kid. That left my family a dreaming image about me. They don't know that I am not continue dreaming at all :-)

A lot of people i meet for the first time have a very different opinion of me, I don't know why. Maybe it's because of the way I talk or the way I present myself or something. I honestly don't have a clue. I'm all too familiar with the words "i really thought you were like this and like that".. I don't really mind much though, but it's funny to think about..

Oh sorry, I didn't answer your question. Well, some people do know me as me while some don't. Some of my family members know me as me, while others don't, and this is the same with my friends. It's not that I let them see a different me, I believe I act and speak basically the same way to everyone, with minor exceptions. I think it's more of how they imagine me to be and their portrait of me is what's imbibed into their minds.

Yes, they do, they get me mixed up with what words I say without even talking to me first about it. This type of thing disturbs me.

i'm very plain spoken & i know i had a friend that come in my store for the first she ever saw & i popped off something to somebody & she told me later she thought i was the meanest thing she ever saw. i was teasing w/whoever it was. she later worked for me & we had a big time. so people are not always what they seem to you altho i'm really am bad w/first impressions myself.
