Do remember playing games like Wizball, Trailblazer or Warlock? then this is for you.just give me a list of the games you played when growing up,what system they were on(computers, consoles and Arcade)and why you loved them!
here are a few that I think are absolute classics
Crystal Castles (Arcade) by Atari. This was way before Mario and Co and was basically an isometric platformer that you played with a trackball!it was just so cutsey cutsey and was really playable.
New Zealand Story (Arcade) by Taito. this was a corker of a platformer really cute and highly addictive.
Chuckie Egg (home comp Acorn,BBC,ZX Spectrum etc)one of the first platformers and supremely playable.
Uni Rally (Snes) by Interplay . a racing game with Unicycles! absolutley bonkers gameplay and really addictive.
Wizball (home comp Spectrum, Amstrad C64) by Ocean. really hard to describe this one. its a platformer/shootemup with puzzles! just super playable utterly addictive.
Trailblazer (home comp C64 C16 +4) by Gremlin. a bouncing ball game that is so simple yet so addictive I'd call it computer Crack!
I haven't listed things like Zelda coz everyone's played one kind or another.
there are so many I could be here all day.. so what are the rare gems that you remember?

hmm well im not that old...but tha games i was playin growin up was sonic on sega, mortal kombat on sega(loved fatilities), then moved on to tha n64 wit mario games like super mario 64 n mario party game series n also smash bros., n then got playstation wit madden(fav all time football game since '97) also started playin final fantasy to which got me interested in rpg games. After that came tha best gaming system, tha ps2. Got alot of rpg games on that like tha final fantasy series n got really into nba live on this system. got a gamecube after n loved playin smash bros. melee. i really liked gc which is y i dont understand y it didnt get that popular, maybe its tha system design or tha small size of tha discs lol but anyways pretty much after that i stopped playin games much or rather stopped buyin n only really played ova a friend's house. Now a days i only buy new games that really interest me, like tha KH series(which im sure will b on someone's classic/favorite all time game list).

Best game of all time. Pole Position on the Atari. (1982). It was a blast then. Now games are more complex but back then it was new tecnology.

hi happythoughts !
I remember it. the screeching noise, whilst turning corners and the 'bitty' explosion sound when you crashed. good fun!!

Well I had an Atari and my favorites were Q-Bert and Pitfall. But what I most remember was my first roleplaying games on my first computer, a Tandy from Radio Shack. Might and Magic and King's Quests were my first introduction to RPG, and I've never stopped playing since! Many, many RPGs later and I still love those old games. In fact I found them all once again on CDs so I can still play them!!!
