How would I go about determining if I might possibly have Adult ADHD? Both of my children are ADHD and I have recently started questioning where they got it from. I have started noticing that when I start something I rarely finish it before something else that I need to do captures my attention and it just keeps repeating from there.

Whoever diagnosed your children may be able to diagnose, or at least screen, you. Since ADHD wasn't widely diagnosed when we were kids, a lot of adults first realize they have it when their children get diagnosed, because they realize, "But I was just like that when I was a kid, too!" They might just give you a quick questionaire to fill out, with "Yes, no or sometimes" questions to check off, like, "Do you often have trouble waiting in line?" and ""Do you find that you interrupt others a lot?" A better screening would include asking you lots of questions about your childhood experiences at school and at home, current difficulties you have, etc. Some professionals also will send home a questionaire for you to give to someone who knows you well, such as your spouse, a parent, a sibling, or a friend, to fill out questions about things they've noticed about you.
