"Most people are other people. Thier thoughts are someone elses opinion, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." -Oscar wilde.
I've seen that it's very much true, sometimes in my life too. There are many good books too which are the inspiration of other books as well as good movies or songs and many other things.
Do you really belive this?

Yes it is very much true. It happens to me too. I am Jason Bourne ;) Anyway, there are lots of good books that seems to be the inspiration of an author for a book, his book. Same goes for movies, songs and almost every media. It's a good thing though that they invented patents and copyrights.

yes i think you are right. it is hard to be a genuine person, or create some genuine works. we are inspire and influence each other. so i think that's ok as long as the 'copycat' is not beyond the tolerable degree.
there are only a few people who really genuine. even a great thinker sometimes get inspirations for their thoughts. i think even oscar wilde didn't always make genuine works. it must be some former works inspiring him to created some of his well known works.
