Has 2008 been a horrible year so far?

This year wasen't that good but thank god that is finally getting better. Gas prices are starting to go down little by little and the economy is improving even thought its not a big change bu its atleast something. I think this year will keep on seeing improvements and I think things will keep on improving little by little. Atleast we havent had any disasters. I think there have been worst years but in my view I think we started in a bad way for 2008 but I think we have been improving as the year moves along I expect a better year next year lets just all pray and hope for the best.

Yes, yes..it's been a terrible year for me. Just one heck of a "downer". I think the economy is to blame. I can't wait til 2009. I hope it's better...but then thee's always a chance it could be worse. Help!

Not really...it just seems to be going really fast. Only 3 months left of it and it seems like it just started. I will be glad when the elections are over just b/c I'm soooooo sick of hearing about them. [b]**AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~ [/b]

I can't say that it has been a year to particularly hate. I certainly have had some ups and downs. There have been struggles and challenges the same as any other year. I am just learning to keep the faith and a good attitude about life and then I hope things will iron out by the end of the year.

I thought that it was a pretty bad year however it seems to be getting better. I think that every year natural disasters take their toll. I really haven't noticed anything to out of the norm this year than last other than the gas prices. They say the economy is getting better here in the U.S I can't wait till they actually say that "everything is back to normal" but eh its probably not going to happen any time soon lol. I've made a ciommitment to stop complaining about the world... turns out it could be bad for you... thinking more positive about things brings good energy your way... I believe it ^_^

2008 is just one like the other years that have already passed. there were some lighlights for this year like my 18th bday and my trip with my friends to an island. but there were also times when i felt really bad like being under teachers who aren't nice at all.

Yes. It has been the worst year ever. The rising prices of fuel, food, the basic necessities that a human needs. Hoping that the next year will be great.

I am right there with you. 2008 has been a bad year for my family and we are ready for it to end. It just seems one thing comes up after another. But praying for a better 2009.

aside from money I can hardly say this is a bad year for me personally there was a bit of worry about my husband's health but then we found out it wasn't as bad as we thought i have to say that 2006 is the worst year in my life but surviving that year doing what i did i realize i am stronger than i thought and that i was doing the right thing all along i didn't see this at all at the time i was emotional but now if i look back i know i would regret it if i didn't do what i did. you may not see it right now but what happened, no matter how bad, it may be for the best we may unconciously cling to what is familiar, afraid to fail trying out new things, but the time will come when we have to do this and so we will go with the flow. that's all you have to do, just live your life one day at a time.

It has been the most superb year for me. Its really great that I could find some people whom I duly respect with full heart. And if I am not wrong, my mom identified it for me - love at first sight - this very year. Its just like the bloom in my life came this year. I finishing this year, and next year, I am going to some very good place, perhaps - and that decision came up this year. I took the decision of my state of life in this year- i decided even to be an ITian this very year... everything has gone superb so far. Well, for the world, I agree it has been a horrible year - hurricanes, earthquakes - etc. I grieved for them all - but in my inner self I couldn;t grieve at all - because I had a source of constant joy! And nothing, as far as I remmber has gone wrong... so... what should I write?? It was a wonderful year for me so far!! Happy Mylotting - good luck for the rest of the year! :D

For me, this year has not been horrible. Not the worst, but then not the best either.

No no no.. I did'nt say that I have a perfect year in 2008 but I have great things to treasure... 1. I was promoted to a manager 2. I acquire my first credit card.. lol(I am not using it though) 3. My family became closer 4. My sister deliver her first child.. and it brings happiness to the family.. 5. We have a great sale in our company I pray that every year will became fruitfull for you and for all of us here in mylot! God speed mi amigos!

Definitely i hate 2008 because a lot of these happen in this year. i had to leave the school for the job. i didin't have the opportunity to get up late or go to bed early. Also the job finding is boring and disappointing. The boss is so tricky and hard to get along with. I just want this year to pass quickly and maybe next year i will have a good luck.

U know what,in 2008~China had much huge events~ which make us feel sadness~ the snow disaster in January~ the 5.12wenchuan earthquake ~~These things make a huge effects on all the nation as well as the whole world~ But past is past~ in 2008~ we had the 29th Olympic Game ~ we share the dream,share the spirit~share the happiness~ for Chinese ,our dream finally come true~ we prove to the world China has become strong~ I am very pound of being a Chinese ~ SO ,as for me~ 2008 is a horrible but a happy year as well

yes as ya know the AC is out and the feller said he cant get the boom to pick up old AC and put in new one so have to wait till tomorrow for the other crane oeperater to come and it finally dod rain some today yeah ! hugs!

I think that there have been worse years in history but this year hasn't been easy at all. What with the finacial problems that everyone is having and then all the Hurricanes and everything. But there were a few times when there was some happiness. Like the Olympics and the big number of Medals that the U.S won. I'm sure that there were some more happy times for everyone during this year. Hopefully next year won't be as bad as this year.

dear shelagh77, so sorry to hear of all your troubles this year. you have friends , including me, who care about you and will send you good wishes and positive thoughts. but it does make you wonder why the human race is always striving to be better, faster, quicker , what is it all for ? Bad luck seems to come in great waves, no matter what we do. all we can do is ride out the storm .....and don't get too seasick !!

My 2008 sucks, had a bad months these few days. Lost my jobs, looking for jobs and still no news of any jobs called me up. My year is a year of bad luck, as the Chinese would say. "Cong tai Sui" a bad year for the horse.

hi there shelagh. i had both good and bad this year. the good thing was that i completed my degree with good marks. the bad thing is that i faced lot of problems personally and i was very much in a bad mood often. but now i feel very much better as i have all that solved and now since i am spending most of the time in mylot i just get time passed away so soon. happy mylotting. have a nice day!

considering the past 8 months since 2007, its been an incredible and one of a kind trip of my life. many things happened thats just so memorable for me like our Olango (an island in Cebu) experience and the island hopping thing. also, just last summer my cousins went home here in the Philippines and i got the chance to see them at last after that long wait for 7 years. its really heart-warming to see your loved ones back. and just more than a month ago, i had the biggest shock of my life. my parents asked me to gome home to our province (i was actually studying in Cebu for College) because our immigration papers to Canada has just been approved. and by the end of this month, we're moving out of the country already. those are just some of the big events in 2008 for me, and it hasnt ended yet :)
