1. Low wages and bare bones benefits packages for its workers.
2. Militant anti-unionism.
3. Forced overtime for employees
They are know to abuse workers even worse in foreign lands, where they can get away with even more wickedness.
In the factory in Jordan, which was producing for Wal-Mart, four young women, including a 16-year old girl, were raped by plant managers. Despite being forced to work 109 hours a week, including 20-hour shifts, the workers received no wages for six months. Workers who fell asleep from exhaustion were struck with a ruler to wake them up.
At the Al Shahaed factory, also producing for Wal-Mart, there were 24, 38 and even 72-hour shifts. The workers were paid an average wage of two cents an hour. Workers were slapped, kicked, punched and hit with sticks and belts
From what I hear the owner of Wallmart, has the nerve to refer to himself AS A CHRISTIAN!
They are like modern-day plantion owners!

I am not rich now and I still try to stay out of Walmart as much as humanly possible. I think that the stores are too crowded, generally dirty and unpleasant, and I think that the majority of the merchandise is low priced because it's low quality.
I would continue to bargain shop even if I was rich, which I think is really the point of this discussion. I love to find a good deal! But, I also love the idea of not having to worry about pricetags. I just know I'd be good at being rich. I look forward to having the opportunity to prove it!

well I've never been to a Walmart, but I would probably still shop at most of the places I do now. I would just have a few other stores I could add on to my list :)

I like discounts but you know I will stop seeing price tags on dresses and things then. I will just go ahead and buy them. I will also give beggars thousand rs and see to it that they try and invest that money in a small shop and start earning.I will open an orphanage for street kids where meals and stay will be free. They will not stay as prisoners and will be free to come and go for meals and sleep. If they will show enthusiasm I will help them enroll in schools.i will provide a guidance counseller for each of them to whom they can talk to and discuss things that are bothering them.

I would definitely still shop at Wal-Mart, they are one of my favorite stores. I used to go to Wal-Mart at all hours of the night, & just walk around looking at all the stuff I'd buy if I had the money. Aah, those carefree nights of college... Now I can't do that anymore because of the kids.
